Powerrave's DSL briefcase
« on: February 23, 2010, 01:13:52 PM »
i got my DSL working correctly again, and now got a bit into making/trying to make AW and BW. because of the problem with DSL i had a few days ago, i though every AW and BW that i made, except for rammers, were bugged as they started to randomly havoc around.
now it is fixed, i lost a lot but i do still have something left, my attempt to a BW FBS. and i think it worked out quite well.

(it has 1mm titanium armour. best i was able to get with such a loaded disc.)

also, i will make all my BW part of the 'box' series. as i first had nightbox and now freightbox (please don't ask how i got with that name, i have no idea) and i am going to make more BWs, that's for sure. i kinda like working with the lower limit in play. gives a nice challenge to it.

You must have had DSA on, DSA is the worst armor in DSL.

no, first to use as much weight as possible, i set it to 1mm plastic. then i created the whole inside and the disc and after some trying i got the disc filled nicely and then with the remaining weight i could set the armour to 1mm titanium. i know it isn't really anything to protect myself with, but when freightbox gets flipped upside down, it is all over anyway.

not bad, I think this only needs 2 ants, and then you can upgrade to wide ant wheels.

if i were to use 2 ant only, my drive slow down or the disc will be slower. both are 'DO NOT WANT!'. i have thought this bot trough to have a good armed disc and still make it BW. control over driving is bad tho...

also going to work in a normal spinner, but not sure about design yet.

sorry for double post, but while having been busy with making an AW spinner, i got the havocing problem again. it just starts to havoc when it spawns in the test area.
here a pic of the bot, maybe you guys can spot something that causes the havoc.

was still busy, was also just toying around. still, this is a more serious version. but i think the copals are pretty unstable drive motors as i get most of the havocs when i use those. freightbox doesn't havoc at all but further...

since the BW tourney has started, i think. time to really show what i entered.

i think the armour was 3 or 5 mm titanium. not sure. but as far as i see this bot has some potential.

I like it, though I feel grippier wheels would suit it better.
Any comments would be appreciated. :D
