alright, so i have had an idea for an IRL (really this time) clamp, something in between Fight or Flight and Guard Duty (but with no razors and moar IRL)

I also need an idea for an hybrid HW flipper, also IRL. I have no idea what to hybrid a HW flipper with in IRL.

You could try a flamp, although I'm not quite sure if a clamped arm could rack up reasonable damage at HW level.

a flipper/clamp ? what kind of clamp ?

and if I use beaters maybe... then again it's a clamp it's not made to be competitive unless I can drive my opponents OOTA or into hazards.

Something like a regular flipper but with weapons or teeth underneath so it's not completely helpless if it misses a flip.

Or you could do something wacky like a regular flipper with another burst (probably wedge bursts) that fire down to boost the flip.

5mm Alu, 3battlepacks 2 WP836E's 3 ants.

it's irl except for the clamp mechanism which is borderline... but then again I had no weight unless I would go SHW or something or make it so fragile/slow it wasn't even worth building.

i also improved that flamer/VS/FS hybrid... now it's a quadruple hybrid, will post it here and send it to craaig-chan

Honestly, wouldn't even say it's good. The fs get in the way of the VS, if anything the flamers are the only thing saving it IMO. Hopefully it surprises me in the tourney, but I think the hybrid type could be executed better.

Looks good though.

But it's cool and it doesn't look like a poor fighter. I didn't exactly enter that to win after all, if I did I would limit myself to double hybrid or make yet another generic popup.

FS doesn't get in the way of the VS. They both can strike and lift a bot together.

The wammer part is however useless as long as the VS stands, but hell it's useful if I lose weapons and it's better than a random spike at the rear. The flamer part was merely made for extra cool, and it probably useless as long as the VS stands.

Well... chassis was made to be cool but it could be just as cool with a more squarish rear. And maybe no need to overextend the top plate on the sides.

It would give me more weight to work with. Will see what I can do.
