2-mag weapon, normal mag drive (must be slower than a snail stuck on superglue, although not tested).

also i think the design is supposed to be irl but that's clearly dsl-s. oh well. WHY DO I GIVE A **** ABOUT SUCH PETTY LIMITS ? I'M THE MIGHTY NARYAR. I AM OVERMAN. LIMITS ARE FOR THE WEAK.

I think it's too fast, and it's a bit unstable. Ground clearance may want to be reviewed.

But I like it aesthetically.

Not bad, but I recommend that you try and put a little more power in the main weapon by sacrificing some of the armour like if you're using Titanium 5, you could swap it for something light like Plastic 5. Unless you're using those back, bracket wedges for holding batteries or something, resize the chassis if you can unless you do have stuff in those bracket wedges. For the main weapon itself, the chewblades aren't a good choice for a HW since they'll break before you KO someone, try seeing if you can something like a small minion disc if possible for more damage. Still, the design does hold out.

Would a hybrid flipper/vs be the best combo? Flippers would make it hard to cut into a thing for long before trying to toss it wouldn't they?

Almost exactly 11 months since I didn't posted in there. well then.



Anoxeria, NPC fasts, 1mm titanium. Inspired by another design of PrimevalBrony's.

i've tested it against Samurai, flaws to fix : could use smaller bursts, I can't hit anything because the flippers are too long. spinning speed is adequate. could be better but no way i can go with Eteks on this. i think i may need to put the bursts inside the chassis (that original design may be better), those bursts are already quite high and i think i'm gonna use the 80cm steel straights on this.

I do like me some hybrids but you sure dont make it easy on yourself. I agree that you need to shorten the flippers. part of me almost wishes you did like a single flipper in the middle and made the chassis more of a firestorm shape, it might even let you add some weapons on the side to help both corral them onto the flipper and also help with the sns. I'll probably do some crazy hybrids myself when I get back. glad someone is trying to innovate

designs like this would suck as AI tbh but I think it can be pretty decent in MP. something to think about

Oh sh**, The DSL-S train is rolling proper now that we've got Naryar back in town!

Of all the hybrid choices in the world, why this one? I can't think of any situation where this hybrid is practical, let alone useful. I'd say drop the SnS and instead work on some sort of weaponed flipper - powerful flippers are too easy to make in DSL 2.2 what with the VDMA bursts, so more popup-style or weaponed flipper-style bots would be nice to see.

Think you might have a bit too much battery power there, man. Surely just the two black's and the ant would be enough? Also the width of that chassis has me thinking perhaps some optimization work could be done on it. I'll work on the concept in a few days, see if I can come up with anything major.

Bursts inside the chassis is wise, I'd say.

Overall, glad to see ya back again! Definitely showing the rust, but we'll have that fixed up in no time.

hmm. i think you're right. i'll probably change it to 1 flipper, it is more efficient and those big VDMA powered flippers are actually really OP good.

I know this particular hybrid combo is very unefficient (And I'm fairly certain it's sh** in actual combat, maybe it'll work better in IRL metas ?). I'm just building experimentally.

is it ? I'm quite rusty with the DSL 2.2 meta. i'll try less batteries.

The overly wide chassis is done on purpose to increase turning speed without having to go Eteks, since i can't simply improve speed via grippier wheels in DSL2.2.
