Apanx mad a tool which allows you to export .obj files made in a 3D moddeler into RA2 as a chassis.

Instead of doing the thing where you take a screenshot of your bot's internals and plastering that onto the skin for the illusion of a transparent chassis, I decided to see if I could make it so the internals could be seen without the pesky chassis in the way at all. A 60x80 lexan panel was placed to give it a more realistic appearance. Botlab screenshot makes it look really screwy, but it works like a normal chassis. Promise.
Currently armor is Alu3 but I'm probably going to give it some [balanced] custom armor.

Also, DSL batteries don't have "alwaysvisible=true" in the txt. I'll have to edit it in myself.

I don like the supernova disc.  As for the whole lexan situation, it's a nice touch.

The bot looks mice tho.. if you just reskin the disc tho.

That's really cool. Nice use of OBJRA2 too. The only thing I'm not sure on is the Supernova disc: a bit too big imo.

If you're wondering, yes, that is two separate parts of chassis on each side. They act as one though. Too wide to get gutripped by psuedo-IRL wedged VS. Only 790 right now, will have to slap some typhoon spikes on or something.

that looks cool. How fragile are the extenders in the middle ?

It'd be even cooler if you'd have used some linear actuators and it could be of variable width
