Well, I've just decided to try and make this Showcase just as I made my first Non-Stock Bot. So the "Venko Effect" would probably occour at some point, So yea, Onto the showcase:
T3chn0-M4nc3r

Description: My First attempt at a DSL 'Bot, let alone HS Lightweight.
Power: 3 Ant Batteries
Specification: Horizontal Spinner
Armor: 3mm Aluminium
Weapon: Spinning Disc with axle joints attached to it which have Razors on them.
Weapon Power: Piglett Brushless Motor

I Will post some more later, but for now, The only available one I've done is T3chn0-M4nc3r. But I will have more done soon.

Heh, not bad for a first bot
Still...
1.try keeping DSL realistic
2.You can get better drive and shrink the chassis a bit
3.You can also get better wheels, generally we use technos,hypnos,vlads and ant wheels, perhaps others aswell
4.I think you can switch the disk to the 100cm for more AP thus more weapons if weight permits
5.Don't use aluminium or steel apart from certain exeptions
6.Look at other people's showcases, mainly people with coloured names, for ideas and tips
7.I see you're doing it already but make sure to build to the weight limit as high as you can, e.g. you can put a bit more weaponry on there or upgrade the armour a bit

Updated it, Now it has Pigletts for Drive and Weapon and Vlad wheels. Still a little too lazy to update the rest though. But still, It goes faster and is possibly even lighter.

Changed from Pig+Vlad to Granny+NPC, And the armor is now 1mm Titanium.

Way too fast, use slimbodies or TWM3R's, make that chassis less tall and smallen it. Also, am I the only one who notices THE RAZORS GO RIGHT THROUGH THE CB!?

With all that empty space you can probably move the control board. I think you may have to bite the bullet and rebuild the chassis to make it smaller and lighter and so you can add more weapons on the disc.

Anyways, on the bot, you should aim for as many weapons as possible, you may want to downgrade the drive to acheive this
Try to make your chasis as small as possible
And use K.I.S.S. as your general guide (Keep it simple, stupid!), i.e. don't over complicate your bot

Remember to keep it fairly realistic.
You should shrink that chassis for more weight to use

There is some truth in that, guys with custom titles, like Veteran or Advanced User do tend to know what they're talking about more than people without. That's not to say those without a custom title DON'T know what they're doing, it's just a case of rooting them out. Guys like Vertigo, SKBT and martymidget tend to give good advice, whereas guys like Sparkey, FOTEPX and Avalanche's advice tends not to be quite as helpful. You'll get to know whose advice is good and whose isn't just with experience.

Anyway, you can shrink the chassis more so, you'll get used to it quickly, but you can save a surprising amount of weight by making a chassis just a little bit tighter.
