Merely a nostalgic kind of hobby to me. Just doing what I always wanted to do watching Robot Wars as a kid. Can't see it lasting, really.

When I'm out and about my mind tends to be concentrating on work or music.

Fair enough.

It's kind of funny because I didn't know robot wars existed until only about 2 years ago . More or less at the same time I joined GTM

If you're running out of ideas, go out. Venture more in the real world and then you'll see new ideas will pop from nowhere or from ridiculous sources.
I found it funny that I interpreted this as "Go get a life then."

lol

anyway if you're out of ideas for IRL, go find massimo's ARChive. should give you plenty.

Not sure if I like it or not. Should probably learn how to BFE a perfect wedge.

"I'm running out of ideas" my ass.

I really like those. It's the simplicity of your bots that really gets my attention.
However I think the first one would look cooler without the cage around it, but that's me.

After the success of Dusk 2 in my tournament, he thought he should continue on the Dusk name :P
Anyways, the flipper one is better because it has a srimech is the flipper two Judges like the original?
Oh I'll be doing some banging.......

Very nice skin. I find it rather messy though.

You should turn the top spikes on the flipper version 180 degrees so they do damage if they hit the opponent.

The flipper looks great. Good skin aswell. I'd bring the side protection in closer to the bot's sides is the only thing.

"I'm running out of ideas" my ass.

To be fair, they're variants of an old robot, messed around a bit. Not entirely new. :dumb)

I really like those. It's the simplicity of your bots that really gets my attention.
However I think the first one would look cooler without the cage around it, but that's me.

Thank you.
While I agree the cage doesn't really fit at the moment, the Dusk series will have a cage around the robot as a sort of theme to tie them all together. I plan on making a lot.

After the success of Dusk 2 in my tournament, he thought he should continue on the Dusk name :P

Dusk 1 lost it's only fight and I still decided to carry it on. It just happens to be my favourite design so far.  ;)

Anyways, the flipper one is better because it has a srimech is the flipper two Judges like the original?

Oh s*** HERP DERP I DIDN'T MAKE IT INVERTIBLE

But yeah, it's still two judges. The motors are unchanged from Dusk 1, I just fiddled with the aesthetics (spike strips instead of Hworf spikes, new side panels, etc).

Very nice skin. I find it rather messy though.

Thanks. I'll agree on the mess, but it's just prototypes, the final Dusk 3 will be tidied up.

You should turn the top spikes on the flipper version 180 degrees so they do damage if they hit the opponent.

Fair point. I'll bear it in mind if I keep the spike strip design.

The flipper looks great. Good skin aswell. I'd bring the side protection in closer to the bot's sides is the only thing.

Cheers. I do love my flippers. They are a bit sticky-out, aren't they? That's what I get for just building around the old design instead of starting the cage from scratch, I guess.  :dumb)

Maybe the new Dusk could just be a nice generic wedge.....

Lel. If you aren't joking, that would probably get destroyed by an invertible HS.
