Second one needs the weapon to come back a bit. It just topples over forwards when it hits something.

Anyway I'll fix it later bye guyssss.

Ok, now here's an interesting one.

(it's not really that interesting)

I tried messing around with a potential sequel to The Red Dragon (my most 'successful' robot) and toyed with the idea of a design similar to Twister but it's not very easy to stop the weapon overlapping the components.

The main thing here is the invertability. The chassis tends to spin around when it goes up a wedge, which seems to be rather effective at stopping it being rammed and pushed around, while still hitting robots with the disc. Not much range though, and I don't know how IRL it is if it starts becoming a full body drum or whatever.

I like the design maybe try to make the bar longer and make it lower.

The problem I'm finding with that is that if I make the blade longer, it passes through the drive motors and I can't make the robot any wider. I could make it lower, certainly, but I'd need to downgrade the drive motors and I think it would be rather slow.

I could tone it down to a lightweight, maybe.

It doesn't really matter that much.

Maybe, but it can certainly be improved. The weapon, for starters.

I made the weapon bigger, better range, 4 large beaters, should be decent against other lightweight. The slimbodies plus DSL wheels make it fairly quick as well.

The only issue is the height of the weapon. There doesn't seem to be any motors that make the weapon any lower. Any ideas?  :ermm:

Mount it upside-down on a ME.

Doesn't seem to be working. I'll just have to live with it.

Try again, you're just hitting something with your motor when attempting to mount.

I'll work it out closer to BB7.

Anyway, got bored, made a SHW, which I don't normally do. Only my 3rd ever, I think?

Use a DSL bar rotated vertically to attach the drive instead of a steel extender. Alternatively there's the widest shell panel to do it with too, but it's more fragile and the drive will be closer to the chassis.

Could you give us another view please?

Of course.

And a better view of the chassis build without the weapon.

3-4 ants is enough for this, 3 the bare minimum. You can directly attach the perm to a multi extender rotated 90 degrees anti-clockwise, and at the back a multi rotated 90 degrees clockwise will do the same. Those will save you weight for aesthetics and other things.

The question is, are you going for Standard, IRL, or whatever you feel like?

Though I'm sure there are better ways to improve the stabilisers for both styles.
