Cheers guys.

Quick question, what are cheatbot2 components and where can I find them? There doesn't seem to be anything in the downloads.

I think they'd be handy in allowing a bit more variety to my designs (eg, Judge burst).

rename your bot to cheatbot2, and they will appear in the tabs. Don't worry about losing your bots name, it'll stay the same.

Double posting to say that this stuff is AWESOME.

So many shiny new things to play with, it's like learning to build again.  :popcorn

Alright, huge post, lots of pictures.

Bashed together a whole load of prototypes and ideas. Very few of these will stay as they are. Whether they be streamlined, given a new paintjob, new weapon, whatever.

Just gonna throw out some possible designs.

I like the Grim Reaper bot. Lots of personality there.

Funny, because that's actually one of my least favourites! Or at least one of the ones that will definitely change.

Dunno whether it was the color scheme or maybe the fact it's a bit too much like Hellbent.

You're quickly becoming my favourite active IRL builder on this website. Keep it up.

That's actually a serious honour.

I'll try and keep up the standard. :)
Things can only get better as well, if I keep practicing and experimenting. Need to learn how to do custom skins as well, but my editing software knowledge is horrible.

Aww, custom components.

Doesn't that mean he has to move this to custom components now?

Anyway, I love the personality in your bots. It's like each bot is a person, with its own look and personality and attitude and whatsayyou.

Is custom components going to be an issue? I was running out of ideas with the 'stock' ones.

no, as long as they arent overpowered

I'm just using Judge Burst and decorative parts, IE Sir K spines, like on...one of the robots I showcased. With the scoop. I dunno.

(edit: judge burst is being used for front hinged flippers. maybe a couple of axes. Wanna keep it balanced.)

those are cheatbot2 parts, and in IRL we're lenient on cheatbot2 parts (for example, the MOE motor and the judge burst are rather widely accepted in IRL building)

Meanwhile, those custom components (the reaper parts from the ][cer pack I think it's called) I would think would be a bit of a problem. I dunno. I downloaded a ton of custom components and then learned that I shouldn't use custom components when I'm building competative bots when I was more new to the forum. I like that reaper bot though, and the scythe is a nice touch.

The reaper parts are from "Component pack D1 and D2", I believe. Not cheatbot2.

The scythe  doesn't even do that much damage. It's aggresive, etc, but lacks a killing blow. As I said before, much like Hellbent.

I don't think anything I've used so far will be 'overpowered' or able to dominate the competition.
