Well, simple solution is that surely you'd be able to get rid of the bars altogether?

Anyway, that latest bot you posted, am I right in assuming that it's a strange kinda side popup?

It is a side popout, or a Pulse ripoff if you wish.

Anyways, it's not that good because the JX's would be better forward me thinks.

Use 2 bsgs instead, JX's seem to suck in comparisson to bsg's and beta's overall anyway.
Also, isn't that a bit overkill on external armour?

The razors need to be lower for more startup time.

For the VS, use NPC Normal with micro wheels.

Pulse ripoff

Indeed. I just tried making something poppy that I would like to use. And failed. I might give up on pop-bots. They bore me. xD

For the VS, use NPC Normal with micro wheels.

Will do. Though I dislike micro wheels xD

Ohh, speaking of boring, a proof of JX concept bot for scorps. :P

19 ants, plastic 3, NPCF. Small JX's.

Highest flip I got, though it probably can flip higher (may have something to do with the weight of the skirts) Good wedges though. I just cba to test it xD Not the best build either, coulda used a small multi instead of XS multi + flipper seg, etc etc. Now, off to make a drum.

Oh goody, a new post in my second favourite showcase!
Oh, wait, a flipper, how dull, I am dissapoint MM  :p
And, the reason why I don't like JX's now is, assuming i'm not hoprribly misreading this, is that they're about as effective as two bsg's. but two bsg's are far more economical, both power, weight and size wise.
I may very well be wrong about that, and if I am then i'm sure someone, probably 123 will demolish me.

I am inclining to agree with you there Scorps. But 2 BSGs require 2 attach points and are awquard shaped really.
@MMs bot I'm sure you could get large JXs in there, I did on my HW flipper and it had heavier drive.
Better than GK since 2009.

I find the JX's more of a pain to work with unless they're being mounted externally.

And Enigma, my favourite is 123's showcase ofcourse.

I know I could if I ditched the armour behind it. But nyeh, flippers bore me. xD

And that drum? Its kind of turning into a HW version my CCIV entry...which is something I've been wanting to build for a while :D

With flippers, the flipping arms can become the armour.
And flippers are fun when you can do this:

HOW DARE YOU!

Anyways, Large JXs are just overkill IMO, I've found with Bulldozers that Small JXs are easily enough
Try to get 4X NPC Fast + Hypnos on there though, I've found that flippers generally need the stability, (especially if it isn't very long)

Flippers bore me as well. Unless they have weapons on it.

But more power=More Oota ability.
There is no use in a slightly weaker flipper that can do a bit of damage and most of the time they will LBP to and decent spinner.

You know your bored when you make a UHW....

The first version : Basically, a ton of Beater bars and Large DS teeth on Dual Perms.

That made me decide to put some armour on the top perm...and add moar teeth to the top disc. As so (this pic after a fight obviously:P):

Lol havok. Still 800kg underweight though. And still thinking about a 100kg snowplough instead of a firestorm flipper >.<

Na, i want to make this to the weight limit. Only downside is its uninvertibleness. Might just put some potters wheels on the thing >.<

Failure time!

These bots fail either due to being either unrealistic, or just plain failing :P

A not so fail:

Trying to make The Beast From Truro look different while losing the flails. It looks a little like a spaceship atm, from my perspective :P

The first ones weapon setup is rather failurish.
The second bot could be excellent if you gave it better disk weapons (and got rid of the wedge :P)
The third one does look cool, but what are the hitpoints like for dual perms?
