But if he's only using the snappers for wedges, surely he won't need power for them?

1st bot is fine with 6.

But you definitely need more weapons on the drum.

In that case, a srimech doesn't needs more ants since both drive and weapon can be switched off when self-righting, and there is no reason to make this a flipper hybrid.

Anyways...Presenting a remake of a stock bot that utterly failed (See my stock showcase), The Block From Hell In DSL. Its also similar to the one with the 4 ants. *cough* I apologise for the quality :S

The bottom is covered with half sheets, by the way.
All battle thingy's were AIed :D

As usual, criticise away!

Chassis could be lower and more efficient, use weight for stronger wedges.

I've been building again, and most of the robots I've made are ridiculously bad. (Like my first attempt at an sns, lol :P)

First up is the block from heck 2- main difference being a smaller chassis and better wedges. Tite 3, and 5 ants. Still think it needs a lot of improvement, but I'm out of ideas.

And next is my attempt at a HS. Tite 3, 7 ants and a battle pack...but I didn't know what to add to get to the weight limit.

I need all the advice I can get on this one. Not as effective as I want it to be.

Eventually I'll build some MW and LW I can actually show.

Trade the battlepack for an ant, and the small CB for the other on. Then, I dunno.
My above post explains everything about everything.

That is certainly not ridiculously bad. It's not exceptionally built i agree, but pretty decent really.

You would most likely be better with just 2 metal hinges and attaching your DSL bar wedges on it.

It also just needs 6 ants, and is that invertible ? Might want to try Slipperbottoms if not.

I'm not too sure now you can improve the drum other than minimize empty space as much as possible.

For the HS however, you could try going for a setup like that on my bot Hydrosphere.  Attach the motors externally with multi-extenders, get rid of three ants and the battlepack, and switch to metal hinges on the wedges.  If you want you can also angle the motors and get Techno wheels.

Well, I tried to do what The Ounce said, but as usual I made something completely different. Still working on it though :)

Here is...Chasm Of Bees! (I really don't know why I chose that name) Armour is Tite 3.

And meanwhile, I have been working on a bot that I might enter in Tag Team Tornado, if I have someone to go with. It was meant to be a HS to begin with, but as usual...

Presenting...Drop Goal :) Tite 1 Armour :S The skin is awful, too.

As usual, criticise away :D

DP :(

Been building again, and I generally do not like popups. But I got bored, So I built one. My first ever. Pop 2, better name would be nice :P If there is any info needed that i forgot to include, don't hesitate to ask.

I also built a juggler, Clowning Around.

May use that wedge setup a lot now, tis good.

All critique appreciated.

Not bad at all for a first popup but really just attach the NPCFs to the chassis... you are wasting weight with all that motor extender work IMO.
It also is underpowered.

The juggler needs longer wedges and you can remove 2 ants.

But you do seem to catch DSL building techniques quickly... heck right now you're pretty good, you might become a top builder in a few months if you really get serious.

Wow, thanks! :D

I think I'll make another pop up right now, since I have some free time, and adjust the juggler.

I seem to like bots which chew up other robots undersides, and FS's.

What's the best battery setup for a pop-up?
