Yes it's true! Man Manu has a showcase! After a year or so of not really playing that much i decided to play a little bit. This may not get alot of use but i decided i might as well make a showcase so here is my first bot not really very good but beats most of the AI. Does it have a name? I do not know as I can't remember!

A flipper rammer hybrid. By the way the only reason it's in my ELBITE team is because i couldnt be bothered to make a new team and my normal one was already full up. Suggestions and critisisms welcome!

Pictures wont show, use GTM uploader instead.
Edit: Ok now I see them. Im not sure if those wedges can be called realistic, since they go trough the black battery and I think it has too few weapons for a HW.
-
Ok they're working now. Sorry about that guys i was doing it in a bit of a rush and didn't check my pictures. My upload site i used to use went offline so i can't use that anymore. Anybody got any other good upload sites other than GTM because i normally post 3 pics at a time so i dont want to be uploading three pics seperately. thanks

Really neat small chassis.
You should definitely:
-Remove this black batt. You can afford to slightly underpower your bots.
-Change the wheels to Hypno's - way moar grip and more speed. See Infernal Contraption. You're wasting weight and electricity on 4WD if you use non grippy wheels.
-Make it realistic.
-
i disagree on the removing the black battery comment as an underpowered flipper doesnt really work. It barely flips other heavyweights out the arena as it is. I shall definitely be changing the wheels but where do you suggest i save weight? Erm to make this bot realistic will be quite hard so i'm just going to leave it. I'll try to make my bots more realistic in the future. Thanks for your suggestions.
-
You will have to remove something because the Hypno wheels are heavier than the Mini Wheels.
-
ahh yes I forgot about the little orange batt things (i forget the name) i'll just remove those.
-
You may be right, that bot includes burst motors... so the underpowering rule doesn't works.
You could also possibly just go 2WD NPC fast with Techno Destructo wheels... it could be a little slow for a real rammer, but still i bet it's faster (and way lighter) this.

How about making an axe?

Woah guys. Uber bump here. Got a new bot that I just made. Trying to get ready for the clash cubes tourney so I've been building a few possible entrants. Not many have been any good as I haven't build in DSL for a while. This is my only real decent attemp at a bot.

By the way it's a multibot which is why it isnt built up to the 800kg weight limit. Any suggestions on how to make this better? Thanks for looking.
EDIT: Also can somebody tell me which wheels I should be using? Thanks
-
I'd use tornado wheels, but you'd have weight problems with the multibot thing
-
Hmmm... you could downgrade the side JXs for Mag snappers instead to upgrade the wheels, and use an extender connected to a multi-extender's side to attach the drive to upgrade the upper wedges.
And 3 burst motors are kinda overkill (in my opinion) for a sub-HW. If I can visualize correctly, it would be better if it looks similar to philetbabe's No Hype 5.
-
Overkill? I'm gunna be up against superheavyweights with this bot. I need as much power as I can get. Anyway thanks for your comments so far.
-
well it beats your last entry lol so two of these? or is there another part of the multibot ?
-
It depends... Did you say that they need to use the same AI or can they differ?

Oh yeah. I forgot. XD
You should try testing on different burst motors, like a large JX vs 2 small JXs to compare the efficiency given that weight limit. I haven't had much time with DSL yet so I don't know how to compare and contrast effectively.

I have been studying the real life rules and will post up my decision in the clash cubes 2 thread right now :-D
-
IMO you'd be better with a multibot popup. Two 600kg flippers are too unreliable to get a SHW OOTA.
Plus 3 burst motors aren't going to help you if they don't have even the third of amp input they need. (Very underpowered)
And for the wheels there are Vladiator's that would fit well. I would recommend Hypno's, but they will be a bitch to place outside of the chassis because of very low ground clearance.
-
Ok Nary I have been trying out the pop-up idea. It is looking good so far. Should have a pic up by tonight.

Sorry I took so long but I was kinda busy with school. Here is my maybe team for Clash cubes:

and:

I'm not sure if I will have both these popups or eaither of them. I might try to build a VS aswell as a popup. Or maybe a rammer. Please comment on my bots and suggestions are welcome as always. Thanks
-
I wouldn't trust those plastic sheets against SHWs...
-
IM... DOOM3D X_X
-
Yeah I think I'm gunna try and upgrade the wedges to aluminium for my final version. Also do you think I should keep 2 popups or use some other type of bot?
-
Is it realistic?
-
Lose the wheel guards and fortify the wedges
