Lightning's DSL Bots

so dsl 2.2 is pretty cool
mw wedge: rebuild of Into the Clouds, now with rims. i wanted to use one of the new burst motors, but i have to stick with a judge burst because nothing else is powerful enough while letting me keep the flipper design.
mw hs: Toxic Slash 2. same as my gtm rw entry, just with a shorter blade and different wedge
lw wedge: Push & Shover. has small nightmare teeth for damage
lw vs (top): Wire Slicer. took off the back wedge and made the front ones a bit bigger
hw wedge: Grey Area. was going to be my gtm rw entry, but then i read the rules. wedges are on burst motors, but don't raise very high
shw hs: Blackout. battleaxes are pretty strong
bw saw: Bzzzt. basically the same as before, but wanted to show it off because the new saws look cool
mw saw: Trapped. skirts are on an axle mount
hw rammer: Steel Beast. took off the wedge and gave it other stuff. there's a srimech inside it somewhere
bw hammer: Sudden Force. i like these new bursts
lw vs (bottom) Ram Rat 2. wanted to use a pussycat blade, but it sucked so i just stuck a minion disk on instead
hw hammer: The Thing that Should Not Be. going to be my entry for badnik's tournament; will probably build a mw for that as well some time
i'm probably going to reskin some of these, but idk what to have them look like. any ideas?

more bots, most of them rebuilt from dsl3 beta
left to right:
Misfit 2 - mw entry for badnik's tournament. wanted to use the fireaxes so i went with a red and grey theme
Delusional - mw poker. triangle pieces do not like me
Hurricane - hw shell spinner. big teeth are angled down a bit to hit lower stuff
Nose Goes - lw flipper
Bar Joke - last rites styled mw hs
Metallic Slice - mostly the same as mettalic whack from LDAI 1.0, just with axes and stuff
also i'm seeing a lot of dsl bots with internal components outside the robot. are people just BFEing the chassis height to zero or something?

nice bots but bots that have an extender frame setup like what Craaig has done with Interlunar and Lazarus (Page 57 of his showcase) is they create a 1x1 cube, minimum/BFE'd height then add an anchor. They then use Robot Arena 2 Component Freedom (find it in Modifications, not stickied) to allow them to add all their parts outside the chassis without the Rule of Seven. This allows for more complex shapes and beautiful robots. this was from Avalanche! As for me i like them very much and i love the full body spinner :D

idk dude this looks good to me
it probably sucks because you dont have a wedge or any meaningful weaponry, but it looks nice so it has that going for it and i wouldnt ruin it for combat effectiveness

Looks cool. Problem is that you're not using alu extenders and the bot is pretty large scale-wise, so you have a ton of weight being sucked up by extenders and none left over for weaponry. I like it, though.

i'll try the frame bot again later
for now here's some more robots inspired by what i saw at robogames
mw clamp based on Tastes Like Burning, turned out more like Jawbreaker though. no idea how i'm going to ai it
new version on BW - Dicer
lw, based on other vertical spinners. weapon setup doesn't do the most damage, but does a better job of tossing other bots
i liked whiplash so i made a hw based off of it. didn't turn out as well as i hoped but whatever

Congrats on making the sir killalot claws not look like ass. That spinner design is really cool. Bot itself looks just a tad too long for a 2WD spinner for me though. If you could convert it to 4WD, or make it shorter in overall length it would look really cool though.

those two wedgelets look like they will block bots from running up the ramp and being fed into your VS. but i may be in error, it is hard to see due to the picture. is it asymmetrical ?
I am digging the complex flipper version of it though.
