He's probably not telling "porkies", but that result counts for nothing.
Mainly because you are using CHEAT components. The quality of the bot itself is still crap, but it is a cheatbot, you are cheating. Badly.

OOTA isn't really that impressive, depending on the arena. It wouldn't have surprised me if you did it in a tabletop arena!

It took you half a match which is poor when you are using a cheating flipper bot in an "OOTAable" arena against a bot without the ability to get OOTA wins.

Plus, you would have most likely been controlling your bot yourself, which gives you YET ANOTHER unfair advantage.

The fact is your, bots still suck, and your attitude is even worse.

The funny part in this is that in the Hot Wheels movies, the character Kurt Wylde was an arrogant, cocky asshole.

Please stop trying to be like him.
I built that big robot on that TV show that time

Or lured him on the arena flipper which could OOTA the bot

Overweight too.
The difference is that 123 made a cool and effective bot, you've just made a boring and cheaty one.

Put it up against king rat, and see what happens, or fat rat if that isn't in 123 AI.

Which reminds me, I still need to download that to see if I'm anywhere near 123s level yet :P

Ok, I'm not trying to be like Kurt from Highway 35. I picked the name when I was about 6 or 7 and it has just stuck with me. I looked at the building tips from NarYar, NFX and so the wrong way and I thought they were saying I had to build a whole new robot to be good. Also, about 3 out of 5 people from Gametechmods hate me already.  :frown: :frown: :frown:

I wouldn't say 3 out of five, it's more like 4.

I kid, i kid.

A few little pieces of advice...

Have a look at my DSL showcase if you like. Granted im not the greatest but compare my very first bots with my latest bots and there is a HUGE difference, and that's thanks to people giving me advice like they are doing with you.

Trust me, you WILL have to rebuild the chassis alot, which means starting over from scratch just to move the chassis a few pixels so that it's more compact and so you can squeeze that last little bit of remaining left-over space. I must have re-built Xergy's (My Very First Stock Bot and it's in my showcase) Chassis at-least 40 times and it's FAR from perfect, but there are people who have rebuilt the chassis of a bot well over 100 times, without a doubt.

Lastly, look at other people's showcase for inspiration. Some good showcases would be : Naryar's (DSL), R0B0SH4RK's (DSL), Scrap Daddy's (A bit of everything), Thyrus's (Realistic DSL), Clickbeetle's (Creative Stock & DSL), JoeBlo (Creative Stock and DSL), and those are just a few. If i where to name every good builder at GTM then there would be a list the size of this whole post.

Good Luck in you Bot Building career, you will need it.

No Problem Kurt, another quick tip that i forgot to mention.

Don't worry if people seem to dislike you, they don't, they're just trying to help and it may seem like that to start with.

Don't worry though, you will eventually get used to it, i have, and it's funny at times.

Next bot is Flying Physics. NO cheatbot2 stuff. MW rating, has 4 stacked Ants for power, and has 3mm aluminium armour. Tips welcomed.

Flying Physics is a bot that I just made in the last 10-15 minutes and is my attempt at aking a physics powered flipper. I think the shaft is a bit too long but I haven't sorted it out yet. I got the idea from watching a vid on YouTube by CourtHouseDoc and one of his bots was like that.

DO NOT STACK IN DSL. Just a tip, right there. DSL is about realism, not glitchy awfulness. And as a torque reaction flipper... I dunno how well yours would do. I'd make it 2 wheel drive with NPC fasts and hypno wheels, shrink the chassis, and use a burst motor and make an actual flipper (bear in mind burst motors need more than 1 ant - there is a chart somewhere... can't remember where...)

That's not bad, seeing as it's a concept (Although it's already been done) i can see why it has lots of empty space.

Don't stack things in DSL, it goes against the Realism Aspect of the mod.

NPC Left/Right Fasts would be better for drive motors in this case as they are quicker than the TM's (Someone correct me if im wrong), but good to see that you have chosen Hypno's

I would try and make the finalized version invert-able because if the wedge is bad (May be if going quick enough) another flipper/pop-up will get under it easily and it will be over quickly. This will mean upgrading to a larger wheel, preferably Vlad's or Techno's.

It would probably do to have the chassis smaller and more rectangular and then change to 6WD NPC Left/Right Fast's and then make the weapon shorter, although im not sure if you could keep it in the MW class after that.

Also it's named a "Torque Reaction Flipper".

Im actually going to try and build one like i just described.
