Definitely 3mm plastic... and probably a metal hinge wedge as well since you're probably going to get outwedged by the first gut-ripper you'll face.

Edit: Oh and one more ant battery is needed

Edit 2: GAH OUNCE BEAT ME TO IT

haha nice skinning job.. I never got around to finishing my Companion Cube robot

maybe rotate the Multi Extenders 90 degrees and have the drive on the side (back AP for the TWM motors) to improve turning

also maybe use skirt hinges for a lighter front extender setup.. if you wanted, that is..

You know what, I had it like that when i was working on it but I changed it because it wasn't working at one point. I just changed it back and it works fine. I'll send you an updated one in the morning right now.

Looks excellent. As Nar said, not the most efficient bot ever made. But it looks cool, and should win a couple of matches, I guess. =D

Of all the showcases I expected to see new posts in...anyway, it does look good actually, it would be great if you started building more often.

Ask and ye shall receive.

Built a LW Cube SNS when the power was out today, but it wasn't very good. Built this invertible rammer instead.

NPC Fasts, 2 Ants, I think it has 3mm Alu.

Works absolutely the same inverted. 2 NPC Fasts is extremely fast on a LW.

Haha, looks quite a bit like a SnS bot I was going to enter in CC4.
How's it like for stability?

Stability is much better than it was as a SNS. Considering using my one update and switching this in...

If there's a way to AI it so it turns round when one side of weaponry is broken/weak, I would certainly consider it.

I wouldn't. You will have better success with your first rammer IMO, simply because you don't have to sacrifice weaponry for the extra extender work for your back weaponry.
Any comments would be appreciated. :D

Thwartoise.

SwitchDirRam.py has been around for years which will swap directions

IIRC the difference with Thwartoise was its ability to swap by what side have the most weapons not just when one side looses all..

Yup Thwartoise uses BiDiRam. So does the Hammer 2 multibot in COTT.

Yay, LW DSL Thwartoise.

The great thing about this design is that it's immune to melty brain SnS's, which often like to get in your rear and keep knocking you to the side so you can't turn to face them.

However, you really need to be able to outweapon them to make the strategy effective... in which case I would suggest downgrading the drive a bit in order to make it more of a tank.  You can also flip the NPC's 180 degrees in order to get the wheels closer to the center of the bot, where they will be even more protected, and you won't need such long extenders to hold the weapon racks either.

There probably won't be many popups in CC4 so that bot's main enemies will be flippers and VS's... flippers you can't really do anything about, but if you had extra weight (ha, yeah right), some extra chassis armor might let you unbalance VS's weapons before they can kill you.
