We don't really do DSL 2.1 anymore, because DSL 2.2 is simply better for both Standard and IRL metas. If you want, you can install DSL 2.2 and just import your old bots into DSL 2.2.

Now you've posted the insides, can you please also tell us the weight of the bot and what armour it has? This is crucial for working out how much room you have to expand on the bot, weightwise and armour wise.

Blue 2 could definitely use a wedge on the front, so use a skirthinge and attach a couple of Small Wedges for a starting point if you wish to make your bot IRL. If you are going standard, go for a skirt hinge, use only the middle attach point, and attach a long titanium skirt.

Your bot seems to have an Achilles heel: your wheels and motors. Those look to be either copals or astroflights: if they are, you have far too little drive behind Blue 2. Take out those ant batteries, then insert NPC's or NPC Fasts, and attach hypno wheels. That should get you the speed you need for a flipper.

Again, please move to DSL 2.2 as DSL 2.1 is a dead mod.

Note that it's ok to ask if you don't get something, but please keep working on Blue 2 with the advice I and hopefully others will post, so you can improve your bots. Your bot is a bit simple, but for a newcomer it isn't too shabby. Try adding a wedge to all your bots, and by this I mean a skirt hinge (or in dsl 2.2 a metal hinge) and either a couple of Small Wedges or if you aren't trying to go for IRL a titanium skirt.

Oh. OK then. Apologies but that bot wouldn't be legal for tournament use due to it's diablo motors, but I can understand that you just wanted to show one of your favorite bots. If you build more bots, please refrain from using cheatbot2 because the majority of tournaments don't allow you to use cheatbot 2.

Never known you made a DSL version of Dinistrio. what armour does it use seems a little exposed and only use one middle wedge on the hinge it would not be very good with that many.

I feel like the chassis could be made more compact, and you could put some better wedges on the front, but doesn't look too bad overall.

As for Blue 2, I'm pretty sure it has way, WAY too many batteries. I know flippers need plenty of battery but that's gotta be pushing 500,000 total units, which is compete overkill. Take some of them out and you'll have more than enough space and weight for some T64-Fasts, and maybe some wedging on the front like Avalanche suggested. And if you want it to be IRL, then the skirts won't cut it (I had to learn that myself). Again, though, looks pretty good, and clearly very powerful, just needs refining.

It uses DSA because I just couldn't be bothered to put ANY armour on.

Thanks F1Krazy! I'm going to remake Blue 2 into a DSL 2.2 BEAST and rename it to BLUE3

Let us give advice before posting a new bot, ok?

I'm going to presume you've switched to DSL 2.2 by now, and if you haven't please do so at once as DSL 2.1 is basically obsolete.

Dinistrio looks cool but has issues: the way you have that skirt hinge attached, it looks fugly as all the extenders and sh** are there, and the way you have one skirt is not really fair game in IRL. If you switch to DSL 2.2 you can use a metal hinge which is smaller and can fit a sole wedge on there. You could move the skirt back and attach a vlad flipper if you want a larger wedge. Also, the ant battery at the back isn't going to be too helpful. Your wheels seem exposed, and while the bot isn't plain bad it just seems a bit dull for IRL. Spice it up a bit, with some flipper segments around the wheels for a wheel guard, ramplate at the front for some external armor, hell, even a plow if you want. Try and make it look more irl.

Blue 2 still needs a wedge like I asked. please use a skirt hinge  to attach a couple of small wedges onto the bot to make it easier to get under bots, because if you are trying to drive around bots to get under them, this won't work in an tournament where it is AI'd. Also, the skirts are slightly less IRL than what a set of flipper segments would provide so use a chain of those connected to make a more realistic flipper.

Or do what I do and use armour panels as flipper panels. See my showcase for examples. I'd also raise the drive motors up a click and use bigger wheels, partly so they stick out the back and stop you getting stuck, and partly so that they'll last longer (if you use Vlad wheels, you can bolt a small DSL disc onto them as wheel armour). It's getting better, but it's still got a little way to go.

I'd use a shorter skirt on there. There's not really any reason for it to be so long

Quick question: are you going for IRL or Standard? Please say whenever you post a bot because the advice given will be wildly different.

If standard, that skirt is fine but you might want to add a skirt hingeas well at the same height to add some angled skirts.

For Not PP3D, change out your round extenders for a square one but rotate it so it is in the same angle as the panels. Then, attach a couple of panels to each of them to ensure that your wheelguards won't get knocked off. Then, see if you can wrap another panel around the wheel and intersect it into the chassis to make a surrounding of the wheel. Maybe add two wedge edges to block the center of the front of the bot for more protection.

Make sure you eventually update Blue 2, please.
