Even at 676.3 KG that's pretty severely underweight for a HW, and overweight for a CW. Beef up the armour a bit, downgrade the drive motors and upgrade the disc to a Custom DSL one like F1Krazy suggested. You may even have enough weight left over to upgrade the weapon motor to a Tornado or 6 mag gearbox or a Dual Perm if it'll fit.

What drive motors would be a good alternative?

TWM3R Drives.

I've made changes to the undercutter, using a 6 gear motor for the weapon and TWM3R drives for the drive motors (Thanks TheRoboteer for the suggestions). And have used the DSL disc with ripping teeth and Pl 10 (Thanks F1Krazy).

Sorry it's been awhile, but hope everyone is having a good new year.

So this is a HW flipper (No name), IRL

Outer

Inner

Unsure how to feel about it, but next time I would prefer to do a Atomic (Series 7) style flipper/plow, or an invertible flipper

It's not that bad. The front wedges don't look too well-aligned though. If you use RA2CF you can get rid of the restriction on how many pieces you can link together, and you might be able to make the flipper look neater rather than having that sticky-outy bit in the middle.

Ok, thanks for the suggestion. I'll have to look up how to use RA2CF  :laughing

I think I'm gonna try using a plow style flipper next, and I'd like to know how to extend the plow round the sides, I think it's using armour panels.

It's pretty underweight. Mind uploading a picture with the lifter down and the skin shown?

Yeah, with that much weight left over you could probably upgrade to Al 10 or add extra armour using extenders/armour panels. I'd also recommend using steel wedges on the end of the plow to cause a little bit of damage (you can find them under "Beater bars" for some reason). Doesn't look too bad, though.

If you need help with RA2CF post a thread up in Technical Support, they should be able to help you get it working.
As for the bot itself, attach some armor on the sides. Also, install ra2cf, so you can make more intricate armor plating that surrounds the robot.

I've redesigned it to make it a CW, and it's a lot better. I have space left to add panels and wedges etc

I definatley will, but I need to find where to download it

Side note: It now weighs 574.1 because it crashed, I had to redo it and had m,ade the chassis a bit to high :mad1:

And it's under 600kg
Try Titanium 5. It's literally 1 armor above Plastic 10
I have several opinions.

4 ants? Things could get tight with flips and self righting  from my experience.  Also, what are you using for your flipper arm?

The ant bats seem to do ok, and the arm is made from Ti extenders and Ti wedge
