Here's my uncomplete flipper bot (unnamed) my concern is whether the mag snapper is powerful enough, and if not, some alternatives. Another issue so far is that it veers to the left when driving forward. Help would be appreciated, thanks

good bot but
1. Theres plenty of space to put the motor and wheels inside
2.Try and put in a piston burst motor if you have dsl 2.2
3. what armour is it using
keep it up!

So I've changed to the burst piston and it's a lot better, thanks for the suggestion and I'll still be using the room within and it's Ti 3 armour

Yeah, if you can, see if you can move the wheels so they're inside the bot. That way you won't need the wheelguards, so you can save a little weight, which you can use for... perhaps a wider or sturdier flipper? You'll want that flipper to last as long as possible before breaking, since it's your only line of attack.

Not bad so far, though!

Ok, so I've moved the wheels in, they still poke out a bit so I've still got the guards, but with the extra weight i've increase the size of the flipper and added 2 ant bats.

Looks like the arm is clipping slightly through the drive motors, but other than that, great job! I often struggle to build anything lighter than a CW so I look forward to seeing what you're capable of in higher weight categories.

Eh, it's acceptable. Game limitations, nothing we can do - yet

Thanks for pointing it out, it's sorted now.

After seeing some of your builds, like vertigo, I've really wanted to make a HW of some sort

Edit: I need a name for the bot, any recommendations?

So I've finished to paint job on 'Orbit' bit messy but will do, still the same on the inside (motor was moved away so it didn't clip the flipper).

I like the pixel art on the top. Very nice.

(dunno whether it's supposed to be pixel art, but either way, it's good)

So I've tried to made a HW undercutter, not sure how good it is, feedback is appreciated

Edit: Now 676.3KG uses Ti 5

Good GOD i love it! First off well done on using a good undercutter idea which is using a perm with an extender : ) You could make it smaller so you can add better armour and 2 orange batteries thats too much in DSL 2.2 just 1 small black or 2 is enoguh and see if you can get an Mechavore disc in there as there pretty good for the weight after all of this your robot could be a CW if you want not bad though for a first try at a undercutter  :thumbup

That's gonna be pretty damn fast with those four T64s. I'd personally use a custom DSL disc with ripping teeth or Typhoon teeth; it'll last longer than a Mechavore or Cleprechaun, give you a decent reach and high damage, and also bump up the weight a little more. Speaking of which, I'd use Pl 10 armour as it's very weight-efficient.

Even at 676.3 KG that's pretty severely underweight for a HW, and overweight for a CW. Beef up the armour a bit, downgrade the drive motors and upgrade the disc to a Custom DSL one like F1Krazy suggested. You may even have enough weight left over to upgrade the weapon motor to a Tornado or 6 mag gearbox or a Dual Perm if it'll fit.

What drive motors would be a good alternative?
