Signups open 2nd April. It's DSL LW this year, and signups will fill up quite quickly. I believe Click's going 64-bot again this time.

A discovery by Click found out that, for full power, motors only need 1 ant to run. So yeah, you're running 3 motors on the battlepack, but you could run then on full power with 3 ants. At least that's how I understand it. There's a topic on it somewhere (About electotal and stuff like that.)

They do have 3 times the total power of 1 battlepack. Don't your batteries deplete fast with just 1 battlepack ?

If you have an afternoon or an evening to burn, I suggest watching the previous tourneys. You can see the designs that have had sucess in the past, and you also get a little bit of a crash-course on some RA2 history.
 
As for the batteries, Clickbeetle found out that amps aren't the most important factor in how the batteries preform. Basically, long in short, ant batteries are infinitely better than anything else in DSL.

Hell yes, Ant Batteries REALLY ARE awesome. Never thought it. It's the most awesome cheat i've found since the Cold Fusion Reactor.

I've decided to bring Kaiza back to Beetleweight.



Name: Kaiza 9
Weight: 174.9 (Wow, so close...)
Batteries: 3 Antweight Batteries
Armour: Aluminium 3 (Something had to go, and it was unfortunately the armour)
Drive: 2 Vlad Wheels attached to 2 Copal Gearmotors
Weapons: Destructive spinning disc.
Advantages: Beetleweight again, Stronger wheels (So no need for defensive spikes) and good batteries
