I assume this is meant to be IRL? If so, those thin metal sheets are not appropriate as flippers.
Better than GK since 2009.
I think SM is a pretty cool guy, eh builds unicycle-bots and doesn't afraid of anything

I did wonder. I'll have to work on that, then. All my other flipper bots use thin sheets as well. I think the flipper sections might actually end up being lighter, so it's worth making the switch for that reason as well.

That and thin sheets look ugly as hell. Try not to use 'em

Making undercutters seems to be a trend at the moment so I figured I'd give it a go. Hopefully it looks a little more interesting than my other DSL bots.

Debating whether this or Dentophobia should be one of my Sword of Glory HW entries. Dentophobia seems to deal more damage, but also seems to lose its teeth (and stability) more quickly. I know what my other entry is going to be, though. I'll show that off tomorrow ;)

As promised, here is my first definite Sword of Glory entry. Like Discord (and Vertigo, as a matter of fact), it's a completely rebuilt version of a robot I first built in RWRA2. The colour scheme (especially the flipper) is subject to change.

Ants batts are reallllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllly bad in DSL 2.2, looks like you have room above the NPCs to put the long blacks or battlepacks.
You should bring back the skirt hinge into the chassis more so the wedge edges line up more, it would probably look good too if you could add 2 more lined up with each corner of the chassis (get weight by dropping the chassis armour maybe).

I tried putting other batteries on top of the NPCs but I don't have enough room. I know the battery setup is inefficient but that's the only way I could fit enough batteries in without stacking. I'll keep working on it. Maybe I'll completely rebuild the chassis to be a bit taller, so I do have room.

I feel like I'm making and upgrading robots at too fast a rate and not getting to showcase them all. I suppose there's no such thing as "too fast a rate", though; practice makes perfect, after all.

Here's a little nuisancebot I made. If there are any HW competitions in the future that allow multibots, I can enter this alongside Deathstalker or another CW (alternately, I can enter this alongside a MW into CW tourneys). You can't see it, but there's a medium gas canister hidden under the battery and behind the control board.

You don't see many nuisance bots these days.
This is the same with forklift wedges.

It looks cool.  Its wedge effectiveness I might question though.
I have several opinions.

The forks aren't meant as wedges tbh, they're for stability purposes to stop the thing tipping over every time it drives forward. They backfire when it's upside-down though. My Beat the Clock entry (which I haven't showcased yet) also has forklifts for stability.

This isn't my Beat The Clock entry, but I'm thinking maybe it should've been. It's a MW version of Discord (which I've also upgraded). It will be appearing in Sword of Glory, however.

triple post hoo boy

Everyone liked Deathstalker's lifter config, so here's the updated version! Removed the back wedge, which it didn't need, and gave it a custom-built lifting arm with some nice steel wedges on it. It can now deal a little damage, and self-right!

I'd consider dropping the armour down so you can add extenders either side of the arm to make it look thicker. Looks nice otherwise!

It's worth considering. Thanks for the feedback!

I've rebuilt Vertigo a few more times since I started this thread, and I think the most recent rebuild is the best yet. Completely new chassis, new front wedges, new custom srimech powered by a slow Mag Snapper, new extender wheelguards (that I went full ham on), 2x NPC-T64 Fasts for drive, 2 Battlepacks for battery, 10mm Aluminium armour, weighs 790.5kg overall.

I wanna put a custom design on that rear srimech panel but that can wait for the time being. Thoughts?

Looks really nice. I particularly like the extender work around the wheels. Only thing I think could be better is the srimech. Looks a bit bulky and not really IRL. I think two bars that rest flat either side of the disks would look better.

Great work though!

Yeah, I wasn't too sure about the srimech. It's still better than the Panic Attack lid it used to have, which looked comically oversized on the new version. I wanted the srimech to rest just above the discs to stop them from banging against the floor when it's upside-down, so maybe I'll switch to srimech bars and have extender supports for them to rest on. Thanks for the feedback!

Nearly on the second page hoo boy

Time to do the seemingly popular thing and annoy Avalanche by posting multiple bots at once. My excuse is that I started work today, so my free time is gonna be MASSIVELY reduced. Might as well spam all the bots I haven't shown off yet while I have the chance.

Firstly, a brand new Deathstalker built entirely from scratch, based on people's feedback and my own observations. Moved the motor forward so the axe has a longer reach, replaced the Vlad wedge with extenders, managed to fit more batteries in, and added wedge edges to the bottom of the front armour in a token attempt to make it harder to get under. Sadly it's too late for GTMRW or Death Battle but maybe someday...

Next up, Valkyrie. A generic axe bot with great speed and pushing power, based on a similar and even more generic axe bot that I built in RWRA2 months ago. This was actually one of the first bots I built in DSL, alongside the original Vertigo, and I just never got round to posting it until now because it's basically just a box. Still a good machine though.

And finally, Defcon. Like Valkyrie, it's based on an old RWRA2 robot of mine, and like Valkyrie, I've been meaning to post it for weeks. It's basically Terminal Velocity's rear-hinged cousin.

triple-posting aaaaaaaaaaaaaa

I've completely rebuilt Minor Discord (as seen briefly in What Doesn't Kill You Makes You Stronger). It's probably gonna replace Deathstalker as my go-to CW from now on, because unlike Deathstalker, it's not gonna get stuck upside-down all the bloody time.

And here's another DisHarmony bot I cobbled together for Guldenflame's 1-Shot Showdown. I managed to turn my usual shoddy extender work into a sort of "scrapheap" aesthetic. I hope. Now to go actually submit it :dumb)

kill me.

Might wanna downgrade the drive on the tombklone to get some actual armour. Maybe downgrade the armour on Mechavore HS #6765 to get some weight to do something actually interesting with it.
