CW drum, as previewed in the Discord. Wasn't sure what to name it, or what to do with the blue colour scheme, until I remembered I was gonna build a defensive rammer called Millwall Brick for Redditbots LW. That didn't happen, so I repurposed the name. The drum is powered by 2 Flatmotors hidden inside the extenders, the two halves are slightly misaligned but it'll do for now.

nice, the shape kinda reminds me of 900 just slightly more boxy (is it as deadly as 900 though? that is the real question)

also Discord channel? is it like your own or a gametechmods discord? (nvm found it i think)

That guy that listens to your opinion about how to improve his bot but half the time doesn't change anything anyway.

Yeah, that's the problem with drum spinners, they all look pretty much identical. Hopefully the "hooligan" theme helps give it some character, like Jungle Fever with its camo pattern.

And it's not quite as deadly as 900, but 900 a) is 215kg heavier, and b) uses custom components. It's pretty deadly by DSL 2.2 IRL CW standards, though.

You might be able to change the black bats to red bats, with the extra 10kg maybe make the weapon better, like larget beaters of something, if not just armour panels

Persona 5 kept me busy during October, and NaNoWriMo has been keeping me busy this month, but I heard on the Discord about a tournament for "bots that look and function like bots from 1996". So I whipped up a quick TRACIE clone. I know the Slimbodies are clipping through the chassis slightly, but they're not visible in battle so whatever ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ Maybe I'll downgrade some of the extenders and swap to TWM3Rs. Might swap the wheels as well, they're a little ugly.

This was actually quite a fun exercise, I might try building some more "retro-bots".

EDIT: Oh, and I also finally gave Horror of Koror some proper wheelguards, instead of the slapdash ones it had for Badger's tourney. Next up, I'll be reskinning it into Bluebird 3.

Went a bit mad and built a tank. Currently 771.7kg, Pl10 armour, with two red batteries and two large CO2 canisters. The turret is servo-operated and conceals a Medium VDMA piston with a 100cm Heavy Spike as the "munitions", though I'm thinking about switching it to a Sgt. Bash-style flamethrower. The weapon's too high off the ground to hit most opponents, it's top-heavy and easily gets outwedged and tipped over, but hey, it looks cool, right?

The new BOTM format reminded me that showcases are a thing, so time to breathe a little life into this thread with some of my more recent builds.

I have something old...

...something new...

...something borrowed...

...and something blue.

I like Valkyri3 a ton. Probably one of my favourite hammer bots I've seen in a while. One of those that just perfectly fits the criteria of what I personally think an IRL bot should look like. Great stuff  :thumbup

Other bots are cool too. Vesuvius could maybe do with a bit more "flow" to it, as at the moment it looks maybe a wee bit boxy. The core is definitely there though.

Sour Note and Valkyri3 look pretty ballin.  Vesuvius looks nice and clean, though Ice That Melts the Tips is cool, but my OCD with the skirts in the front bother the hell out me.

It re-uses the chassis and internals of [DEAD END] from Mech Madness, which in turn re-uses the chassis and internals of one of my old BOTM entries, so that might be it.

I Can't Believe It's Not A TheRoboteer Bot

Quartz.png

Its name is Quartz, this font just has a weird Z. I've wanted to build a HW bot with an all-extender flipping arm for ages, and finally, here it is. Flipper's powered by 2 Wide Mediums, and it has 4 black batts. My main concern is that it struggles to self-right, but that should be fixable if I just increase the burst arc a little.

oof

I really like it though. Has everything I tend to look for in an IRL bot. Clean and uncomplicated without being boring or unoriginal, and something about that colour scheme just speaks to me on a spiritual level  ;)

My first attempt at a MW Deathstalker was a screaming dumpster fire, so let's see if this one is any better.

Gonna throw this into Middleweight Mixup 2 once I have a second robot to enter alongside it.

Not my best work IMHO, but it should suffice for Middleweight Mixup 2, and now I can concentrate on Mech Madness 2. So many Ms!

Coming soon to Mech Madness 2:

Octane.png

4WD and large drums means it hits like a freaking truck. It's actually better at getting OOTAs (and self-righting) than some of the flippers I've built! Battery life is a concern, what with six motors and a srimech, but with any luck, it's opponents won't survive long enough for that to be a concern :gunz:
