Pincushion looks very nice indeed. I take it it's a flipper? If so, it could probably do with something on the front to help it get under opponents a little better.

Championship belt looks alright. Probably the best you could do with DSL components. If it could spin, then that'd be fantastic.

Would BSG's not work for the side hammers? Or would they be a bit down on power?

For the position the arms are in, you would need Mag Snappers or some kind of complicated mounting system for BSGs. Are they EXACTLY the same? Because IIRC I thought Mags have a higher Max Speed, which would definitely help here.

Front two bursts are normal, rear two are Judge Bursts. I did a fair few experiments with this bot, there's an alt version that died to make this.

Experiments included:
- using 4 normal bursts (srimech was unreliable in flipping the bot from a realisitic position)
- making it invertible, but it was impossible to get the arms low enough without compromising them.
- using BSGs for all the flippers. As Somebody pointed out, they needed a mounting system which either shortened the arm too much, or reduced the number of weapons on the ends.

In the end I decided to take advantage of the Judge Bursts rule, but instead use them for the srimech/secondary weapon. Drives well, isn't sluggish like CC3 tended to be. And the srimech is very acrobatic, for a SHW bot.  :approve:

Ah, I see. It's a bit hard to tell, what with the same .gmf and such. It still looks excellent, though, good work. I could only suggest slots for the spike strips on axles as a kind of final detail.

Over a year, huh?

Tweaks to the bots I entered in BB6. I have ideas for the other two, but I want to see their progress before I start tinkering with them.

resPAwn - chassis was rebuilt, but it's essentially the same, aside from the addition of side skirts for a little better protection.


Complete and utter rebuild, v5 and 6 have been made since the start of BB6 too, yet didn't fix the problems the bot has. This version is able to move inverted - not greatly, but enough to actually drive around and aim the weapon, certainly enough to move out of danger and count-outs. Weapon is beefier with more beater bars, the top disc is more for protection but the hypno teeth are capable of causing moderate damage, enough to justify them being there.

v5 is a heavyweight robot, it has a tail that acts as a srimech, but I think making it into a HW bot compromises it a lot. I may try to make a HW version of v7 so it runs invertible, but it's a lot harder to self-right with a spinning weapon at that angle - the bot just turns in mid air and stays upside down.

EDIT: DISREGARD THAT, I SUCK BOTS.



Tail that doesn't impede the bot when inverted - HW version (not pictured) was also made by dropping the armour to TiT3, and downgrading a few of the DSL bars and other pieces.

Creativity, oh how i've missed you.
