I do have a Youtube account, and both tourney ideas sound interesting =P I would need to go through a lot of bots and just fix a few simple things like batteries and such, but maybe thats something I can do on the side.

On the theme of re-doing previous bots, and with Clash of the Titans getting back into the swing of things, I revamped my entry:

Much closer to the weight limit, much better wedges, a lot faster and a lot more maneuverable.

I can only describe this in one action.

*extended, surprised breath of air*

Also, what's your Youtube?

Youtube is linked in my profile, but i've not posted there in 2 years (and is where my other hobby of online racing is evident). If anything RA2 related goes up there I will make it known though.

On the online racing thing, you should try iRacing. But don't just join because if you put in my email address I get free monies.

On the Armosoarus 2 thing. WHOOOAAAA thats awesome! Enter it in COTT 2, which will be no multibots and will happen... someday...

BB2? BB2!!

Seeing as seemingly everyone is getting bots ready for Battlebots 2, I thought I'd do... exactly the opposite, and do a recording test.
Recorded a COTT-like fight between two UHW bots with tons of breakable weapons to 'stress test' my FRAPS recording, and test video quality too. Quite impressed with the results, if not the AI job I did for the bots.

Either way, comments are welcome on the presentation, as if this is deemed successful then I may start something.

I LOVE THE NEW ARMOSAURUS

I think Cott 2 will be smoother on graphics as well due to no flails and less bots.

Pro Tip: Pause the game during the countdown, the use the F10 camera and get it into position. Then unpause and begin filming.
Better than GK since 2009.
I think SM is a pretty cool guy, eh builds unicycle-bots and doesn't afraid of anything

other tip:

pause the game (countdown will continue). let the countdown finish and place the f10 cam after that. continue the game and later you cut the camera position part out of the video. I made that with every single Total Annihilation (TM) video (except the videos with JBs flamethrowerbot)

Why have an extra 10 seconds of film to cut out. It just wastes hard drive space.

Yes but some people have small hard drives. I can only just fit in a few matches before it fills up sometimes.

must be extreme small hard drives when 10 seconds make all the differents.

I re-made RAFtor with a 512x512 skin, then it struck me that it looked familiar... and boom.

Without wanting to completely detach from the original and make something freaky (*coughNarAIcough*), but wanting to 'upgrade' the DSL 2.1 bot. NPC Fasts + hypnos with better protection. Stronger armour (10mm plastic over 5mm tite), sorted the batteries, and designed to be a rammer if the flippers are knocked off.

Looks pretty excellent. Maybe attaching the pole spikes directly to the ME's would make them more durable.

I've been working on a new bot, would you like to see?

If I make signups in time, this will be my Battlebots 3.0 entry. Effectively a SHW version of Warhead, hence the 'Carbon Copy' nickname i've given this. Arms lower and raise, disc is very similar in style to Scrap's Demigod (weapons mounted between discs to offer better protection, also looks cool visually.)
