Ew... wheels sticking slightly out of the chassis. I expected better :P
Also, weird wedge is weird.
Better than GK since 2009.

I know, I have failed you S_M =P

As for the wedge, it's more to do with bringing another bot right off the ground, rather than just getting under it. I think it's more effective that way, as it allows the weapon to chop away. Obviously it's not going to work 100% of the time, but they work well together.

I actually meant the bottom wedge. I assume the top wedge is allowed to swing down at the start, right?

Yes, that swings down at the start, but on its own it wasn't effective at getting under bots. The bottom wedges are to get under the other bot initially.

*facepalm*
I just realised they were half-sheets, I was wondering how you got skirts to attach sideways...

Hehe, no worries. I believe they're the same thickness as the normal skirts, which is why I tend to use them a lot.

Codename: Demonic Dandilion. The entire weapon setup is on an axle, which makes for some interesting fights.

Wouldn't it intersect the wheels then?

And do I sense you straying from pure IRL realism here?  This bot and the last one look almost standard DSL.

It would be on a 90o axle, so it does not.

Reminds me of a S3 bot with bowling ball thing hammer type watsit.
I do those awful YouTube videos.

I think the axle is mounted vertically.

It is mounted vertically (and this has changed a fair bit since last night too.)

And while I still love making IRL-style bots, I do like to experiment sometimes

The S3 bot is abaddon, and I would recommend that the axle is placed inside the chassis. It has very low HP.
I built that big robot on that TV show that time

Ronin disc was a poor attempt at a spacer so the disc was horizontal, due to the Rule of 7. But thanks to Somebody's suggestion, I had an extra link available and was able to make a better spacer, and add some protection to the discs and motors too. Win-win!

I think this could be considered a 'finished' article. All testing was done on the RA2TT arena, and whilst it LOVES the walls, its very adept at staying inside. Of course it shares that common problem of charging flippers head on and just sailing out, but aside from that I'm satisfied, and looking to enter it in something.

Change the ramplate for something else and imma bit happy with it...
I'm not sure you need another disk for a spacer though.

Would you be able to suggest an alternative to the ramplate then? The discs can be argued as being redundant and are for additional protection, but in testing the ramplate came into play a lot, due to there being a few too many 'lucky' strikes hitting the motors and knocking them and half the weapon off.
