And finally i suggest using heavier weapons because the razors are brittle for a HW, and i suppose you know what happens when one of the spinners lose a razor...

it goes nuts

Edit: btw the razors have rarely fallen off for me and how do u put spikes thorugh the ramplate? ive seen it on other bots but i have no idea how to do it

I can see a Fortified Extender going to the wedge, that is a custom/cheat component too.

i realized that when i had another look at it, so i replaced it for now

heres's another bot i made

a V/S bot
drive: 2 slap happy wheels on 2 NPC-T64 fast
weapon: 8 beaterbars and 2 razor tips on 2 dsl discs powered by double axle e-tek motor
armour: 5mm titanium
Pro: does good damage and good speed
Con: vs against flippers and driving upside down ( it can drive upside down just not very good
comments and ways i can improve round smash

I'm really average when building drums, but stil some general advice:

- Putting you wheels inside your chassis will make them nearly impossible to knock off and is much better than using these really heavy spiked wheel guards.

- 5mm titanium is one of the best armors you have and a good choice for a HW.

-There are better wheel choices out there. I suggest tornado's. More grip,; and a faster bot.

- Battery setup is overkill. You'd be enough with 8 ant batteries. Lighter, well powered, less space used, and finally your batteries will last longer.

-Build to the weight limit. ALWAYS. Definitely invest much more weight into your weapon.

-Wedges could be a good idea.

-Also browse the other showcases. Get ideas and techniques there, and it's fine (i'll even recommend it) to copy other good bots when you're in the learning phase: then when you'll be a good DSL bot builder (see me, Inf, R0B0, MikeNCR, Urjak & Reier) you can go with your own style.

thanks for the advice but im having a problem putting the wheels inside the chassis with the NPC-T64's but ill keep trying

Edit: here's another version of round smash using naryar's advice

problems are that its not invertible and now its a little slow....

Get rid of the inner razor tips and use that weight elsewhere. They are worthless in there.
I built that big robot on that TV show that time

Try to use the Drive E-tech for a drvie motor, and the regular E-tech for a weapon motor. Right now you have the weapon E-tech for your drive motor.

(What? that just wastes chassis space and exposes your chassis. I would rather lose a wheel than lose a bunch of health. just make better wheelguards doomkiller.)

"I would rather lose a wheel than lose a bunch of health"

With that sort of nonsense Hazcon would have NEVER won BBEANS4.

These are not your beloved horizontal spinners Sage !

Because i was short on weight and i had no real need to protect the wheels... tell me of ONE juggler with wheel guards.

Different thing on Skimrmish, where i had to protect the wheels for the KotH version.

Uhh wut?

If hazcon had lost a wheel he would never had won bbeans 4 right? then you go and say there was no need for wheel guards. which of course there wasn't, because you won. so why did you tell doomkiller to put the wheels inside the chassis? why does he need wheel guards or wheels inside the chassis when the bbeans 4 champion didn't?

Because he obviously wanted to protect these wheels, and actually i bet that even with 5mm titanium making a bigger chassis which englobes wheels would be lighter and more efficient that a NOS-BOT type wheel guard.

@Doomkiller: Test the bot with wheel guards and without wheel guards, and if it keeps losing wheels without wheel guards then you can use wheel guards.

You can also use a multi extender and a 40cm steel sheet.

For the bot file, you export your bot, you pick off the bot file in Robot Designs, you compress it into a .RAR, upload it in the Gametechmods file uploader and send the link to me.

Quote from: Doomkiller;34292

That is theorically impossible. In NO WAY a weapon like razors can do damage and be shielded from damage by another component at the same time.
