Hi so I decided to finally start up my DSL showcase now I'm a bit used to it now. yay now you have to put up with me and my terrible bots  :dance:

In all seriousness, I wanted to make a good impression by showing off an outstanding bot, so I decided to make one just for the occasion, so i decided to pick a robot from my gaming childhood. From Ratchet & Clank 2/ Going Commando/ Locked and Loaded... The B2 Brawler

Now for those who havent played this game then

B2 Brawler is a gladiator that the player faces, his main method of attack is to shoot players with his cannons then once shot, goes down and uses his legs as a horizontal spinner, I thought this would be a good idea for a design and decided to go for it

Now I'm still fairly new to DSL so this may not be the prettiest thing in the world, but I'd love to hear you feedback on this, and I hope I can geet to building some more bots when I get time away from making videos

Haha yeah it was a very fun game for me to play, I can remember the first time I actually beat B2, it just brought me so much joy as a kid, thanks for the kind words jdg & TGM, I didn't think the reaction would be as positive as it has been already considering I'm still new to DSL

good sh** my dude! glad youve finally started posting your stuff here. one thing i would consider doing is adding some protection for those exposed drive motors. maybe a little "joint" made out of extenders or something. Other than that, it looks great.

Thanks for the suggestion Badnik, really glad you like it, Ill see what I can do to make it look a little more stronger, I just kind of added wheels on at the last second as I wanted it to be something that moved and not just an aesthetic piece, but again thanks for the suggestion and I'll see what I can do for you

this was the quote that inspired me to make this robot... Ladies and Gentleman I present to you: John Reid's Coffee Table!!!

Basically, its a mini Beta (i like to call it Alpha), with working weapon on a coffee table... covered in paint... because I need to texture and show my strrong point XD It also has wheels that can be taken off if they ruin the aesthetics of the bot.
Just something simple I made, defenitly not as extreme as B2 Brawler, but I hope that it has come out just as good. please do share your thoughts about it ^_^

Long story short, been inactive lately due to holiday's but I'm back and I made a thing... Splash!!

now yes, this is basically Splatter from Battlebots 2015 (also Whiplash from Robogames made by the same team, at least I think so) 4WD, lifter with a spinner on it, but this one has either a wedge to deflect spinners away, or a plate of metal at the front for when facing any other weapon, I couldn't make the saws spin so they are static, but if anyone knows how I can do that then please tell me so i can adjust it.

anyways, this is meant to be a small and simple build, nothing special, would love to hear your thoughts on how i can improve it. ^_^

Love it. Especially the version with the anti-spinner wedges. Only change I'd suggest is putting a small turquoise disc inside each of the taz wheels to cover the red and make them fit with the bot's colour scheme better.

thanks for the advice Robo, will need to find a way of cutting down enough weight to be able to do so, but thanks for the advice

woah nice!

With CF you could hide two mags in the lifter to make the saws spin. if you just want to have them rotate you could just use 360 degree flails

I honestly dont know, i guess they are X's for other robots to hit, kinda like a map, the X's are meant to be where you dig, on the robot, its where you need to hit XD

When I do splatter ripoffs I usually put a Perm 80 or at least flatmotor on the lifter.  Maybe try using those?

So over the few weeks I have been making some of my robots from stock into DSL, and I thought I'd start with the House Robots from my YouTube series: Battlebots VS Robot Wars. So the first one I did was the one I felt deserved a good design, Carnivore!

Now as you see in the splash, there is the stock equivalent for those who dont watch the series (watch my videos, watch all my videos, send me presents XD) just so you can get a rough idea of the changes I made, it still has the 4WD but the wheels are much thicker meaning its less likely to be turned onto its back, oh and the wheels are protected by my usual disc and angled cross design, the jaws are still there but have been turned more into the face rather than just the teeth, meaning I could add more detail onto its back, where you can see the spikes I added to make it more like a creature and less like a robot, and instead of having a battleaxe for its tail, it has 4 large typhoon teeth that make this weird design that strangely (at least in my eyes) give it a bit more character, especially since the tail can now flail instead of being more static, meaning carnivore has more character and isn't just a bland robot.

I feel like I did well with this, but I would love to hear what you think about it so do let me know ^_^

Said it when you first showed it but I ****ing love it. Would be nice if you could get it into the SHW limit but I completely understand if you don't wanna try and trim the weight with how good it looks right now

thanks ^_^ I could try and cut the weight down by removing the spikes and changing the tail back to a battleaxe to make it a SHW then I could enter it into tourneys, and I probably will, but I really like this design as I keep saying, it has so much more character then the stock one has

God I havent used my showcase in a while, and to celebrate the occasion of my return, I have made some robots that may or may not be for DSL-S tournaments.

Enormus - A tiny head with wide thighs and something deadly down below, and for those of you asking, yes he is a big  boy  ;)

Correlatianus - A reference to a finalist from BAMZOOKi Street Rules, a black and white bug, and a large weapon at the front, because why not?

Dark Side Of the Moon - A Pink Floyd inspired robot, with a flipper, wheelie bars at the back to prevent it from flipping itself over and getting stuck on its back, and also black and white (might change the left side to be rainbow colour to match the album cover)

Now with these DSL-S Robots (much like most of my other robots) I wanted to go for more of a style aspect instead of trying to be as competitive as possible, and somehow this has been somewha-... what? Were you expecting some sea themed robot, or a robot named after a mythological creature?! No just cause my channel name is The Seaborg and most of my other robots are sea themed (Screw you Siren) doesnt mean i make them all the time!

I'm liking the styles on Correlatianus and Dark Side Of The Moon, DSOTM especially. I love me a good overpowered flipper.  :thumbup

Fun fact:

The kid who made Correlatianus and was on Bamzooki back in the day was part of team Parallax on the last season of Battlebots.
