Nice! I think the BSG's attached to the smartzone, which isn't allowed. Just use a multiextender and attach the BSG there. Also, I'm not sure whether you're building it as a popup or as a hammer.

No, the smartzone was attached last, it is a pop up the idea is to get the robots stuck on the strips and bash away, the bsg is attached with a multiextender+ polycarbonate, heavy but the best i could do

OK, so if it's a popup, then I spot some problems: First of all, it needs a good wedge, so the bot should either have a skirt hinge wedge flat on the baseplate or a metal hinge wedge (heavier, but wedgier as well). Also, the weapon rack seems to be too far back, which also decreases the effectiveness of the wedges. If you need a trapper, try using 3 Lightning spikes pointing slightly upwards so you can use the weight on armor and the wedge. :D

I have my bets the BSG is attached to the skirt hinge.

It's somehow too slow for a popup and  a good part of your weight is behind the wheels, ruining the wedge.

Hey, decided to put my lightweight building on hold for awhile, and after some messing around came up with this.

If I had made it in time for CC3 would definitely have been my entry, I am pretty stoked with it.

Plastic 1

(I could of sworn it was 3 but when i went to check it demanded it was 1 so alright)

I run into that sometimes too... I will check the armour selection area and find that a type is highlighted different from the one I last selected. However when I check the weight difference, it usually turns out that my original selection is still the same.  Not sure if it is a glitch or something.

Back from the dead! Hi gametechmods, it's been over two years but I just got back into DSL and Ra2 in general, thought i'd see if my building skills were still up to snuff.

Here is a heavyweight grinder bot, the image is missing one armour plate so y'all can see inside, at its final weight its 799.8. I've noticed a trend in hyper realistic DSL building lately, this is something more along the lines of where the community was when I left, is it still considered acceptable?

you can probably get rid of half the piglets and just attach the two extenders together, lighten the wheelguards and put the wedges on each corner of the bot, otherwise it looks pretty good.

and hi
DSL Showcase
is this bot don't lost all razors in a fight before do a damage thought

Thanks for the tips guys, and yeah, I'm back for a while at least, unfortunately my interest in Robot Arena varies over time, but once in awhile i get hit by the nostalgia cannon and have to play.

If anyone remembers i'd like to apologize for never following through on the lucky 7 tournament, I guess life got in the way and I disappeared, all the files and such that would have been used for it are long lost, and I have nowhere near enough time to ever resurrect it. Sorry everyone for not completing that properly.

As for the bot tips. thanks ty4er, I don't know why i didn't think of that, and the back spikes are just some extra weight used camera fan, maybe with a little less motor and battery weight I can find something better to use it for,

New Bot, thought id try my hand at this new fangled realistic high res aesthetic stuff. I like how it turned out. I wanted to use the judge snapper, but it was just too powerful, kept havoking and glitching out, any tips?
Anyways, here she is
