Weren't you banned, or am I thinking of someone else?

Also, which way do the wheels point horizontally? Forward or back?

should try using HNM wheels under cheatbot2. i find them the best to use when building #stancenation bots

cool as heck tho. also if i were you id change the disc to a regular black dsl disc and tack on one of Badniks new Disc covers. Looks a lot better

not bad, but i feel the bot is not long enough and it may just flip itself if hit enough

You are correct, it flips itself all the time, but then again I don't really build bots to fight anymore, I just like creating things.

Nope I was never banned I have just been away for several years, school then college where I recently completed a Photoshop class, although I did get into a row with Noodle (who was eventually banned from GTM for other things) back when the Playground existed, perhaps you are confusing me with Noodle? anyway they point forward I think because they tilt to the side.

Anyway I somehow got it into my head to make a successor to one of the first DSL TC bots I posted here on GTM called Egged MK2 all the way back in 2009. Well it is 2017 now, nearly 8 years later and I will now be presenting Egged Mk3.

It has an Eggbeater weapon, and I used the IRL pack as well as component freedom to build the eggbeater, and pack the internals in super tight. It is armored in 5mm Steel.

(sigh) I was going to post another bot called Track Attack today but I decided to do a time lapse of the build of this one... Unfortunately my video editing software screwed up and I need to convert the format of the files from .mov to .mkv before I can run them through Adobe Audition... Cause I was also going to get the pictures for my splash from the video I shot of the bot.

In the meantime here is... Well it is a thing I guess, I was trying to make a functioning Meltybrain in RA2, it kind of works but it doesn't, I might tinker around with this idea some more, see where it goes.

You mean human-controllable melty? Looks weird but I can see where you're coming from, that said human-controllable melty might prefer symmetric drive.

At this point you should just let the AI do the melty so component usage is maximized.

So this time I decided to do a timelapse of my next build. Even with the sped up footage it took so long that I had to split it into three parts, here is part 1.

Problem is I do not know how to AI, but in the next variation sure I will try symmetric drive.

Learning to AI is surprisingly easy. The tutorials section has a good guide but feel free to PM me if you get stuck anywhere.

I've managed to control spinning robots similar to meltybrain by releasing the drive button periodically in time with rotations and adjusting it to get the desired direction.
Better than GK since 2009.
I think SM is a pretty cool guy, eh builds unicycle-bots and doesn't afraid of anything

Anyway here is part 2 of the let's build.

Sorry it took so long I had to file a copyright dispute on the first video as some scumbag filed a copyright claim on one of the royalty free music tracks I used under the Creative Commons 3.0 licence... I also had some choice words in the dispute as well.

Hmm I may try AI'ing Track Attack once it is uploaded to the bot exchange.

Thanks. The bar itself consists of multiple discs, beater bars, and two of those axle extenders sandwiched between two bars... It is pretty heavy, and as a result doesn't spin that fast, I kind of took inspiration from the bar that M.O.E. had, when designing DeadFrames weapon.

Could actually be hella competitive if you found some way to save on the weight and replace the beaters with MOE hammers...

I said I would get this splash done XD. It has been what, a year now? I work slowly, probably my first truly competitive IRL design, it has quite a flush wedge, and that weapon setup actually is stable. It is quite weak against hammers, and drums due to the weak top, bottom, and rear armor.
