I used spiked clubs because they were somewhat strong, and, god forbid, if another robot gets under it, it isn't screwed due to exposed extenders.
I've got some weight to play around with though, I'll add in a smattering of razors to compliment the double layer of spiked clubs.

What weapon motors are you using?

Theoretically you could get away with piglets as the motors as it would just be grinding...but I'm not too sure. :P

I need to build A Very Big Block 2....

I think he was using Axle Mounts. They definitely work on SnS, but I'm not too sure if they would work here at all.

No weapon motors at the moment. But i'm adding a few piglets in. The front things were mounted on 360 axle mounts.
360 axle mounts haven't been bad at all actually NFX. But piglets are probably better. :P

Piglets would be better in this case. Because your opponent's going to be sitting on top of them, and they'll not be moving, and thus dealing no damage.

They WILL deal damage even if immobile, but barely any.

Especially low DP weapons like that.

If it were to use High DP weapons like Sledgies and Razors correctly, It would have maybe have the chassis higher, or the Pigs higher, Maybe both. So yes, there will be problems for is and the fact that there are going to be lots of repairs. Or he could have stuck to the Miss America design.

Edit: The Miss America design WITH the pigs.

Many incarnations later, I came up with this.

The illegitimate love child of Miss America and Industrial Coal Miner.
Top disc on a perm 80, bottom discs are on piglets. 8 ants.
I made a completely new robot for that challenge with TRB, but this does seem tempting.

Double post I know. But:

Miss America 1983.
Hopefully that's the final incarnation, unless there is another glaringly obvious flaw in it. Bar being crap.

Chassis can be smaller, Dsl's are pointless, use Flipper extenders not angled's, and you only need a TWM3R to drive one of them discs, not a perm.

Thank you for that well thought out, hard-hitting post on how to improve his robot, really I bet it will help him a lot in the long run as a builder.

Most of that advice is stupid.

Perms are fine, the chassis is fine, and what are the DSL's you are referring to?

You should try to swap to flipper segs if you can, however. It's probably better if the whole system is angled down a bit.
