Absolutely nothing wrong with kloning when you're starting out, it really helps you nail some important ideas and skills.

Anything more than 3 ants on a 2wd sns is serious overkill. And even then 2 is usually fine.
And if you're using NPC fasts, then i'd make a chassis like a zig zag tetris block and mount them on the chassis to stop them getting knocked off easily.

i only lost an npc once but still won the match
