Drive system is stupid. Utilize npc fasts and hypnos. If you want you can use maybe Vlads or Tornados on the outside for some invertability, but that is not such a good idea. I also recommend using some small wedges at the front, because the half sheet just doesn't look right.

...NPCs will ruin the look of the bot. Sure, the drive's unconventional, but this is IRL - it can be.

How so? Looks to me like he has room in there for a couple of NPC left/right fasts. Just two with hypnos will be faster than the drive system currently in place. It's not like the wheels are even visible when the bot is right side up, if NPCs do fit it will look identical.

Boop, updated version. I tried using NPC fasts in the first place but couldn't get it to fit (didn't think of having them this way).

Yeah, I think that looks better
Try flipping the wedges over so that they're parallel with the slope of the chassis, that should look even nicer.
Have you put a skin on it? You can do a pretty good skin with the botlab paint section, but if you're feeling more confident you can try and make a custom one outside of RA2.

Haven't got round to a skin, I was planning on custom skinning all my less-that-ordinarily-crappy bots all at once at some point (I'm lazy, sh)

Gah, crap. I assumed that would be a problem but wasn't sure. I'll just use a moe motor.

Haha, I know. Been lurking long enough to not take anything he says to heart :P And thank you.

Turned the bot into a CW since moe motors are heavy as balls.

(also been working on making custom skins for my bots woo)

if you turn the npc motors around, you can fit the moe motor in the far back of the chassis and cut off part of the front, it'd probably look nicer. i'm sure you would then be able to do something a bit more snazzy for the guards/braces or even the weapon
DSL Showcase
is this bot don't lost all razors in a fight before do a damage thought

I can honestly never think of decent ways to make wheel guards, they always look like crap.

Haha I like it :P
Also it's cool to see you taking the effort to give it a skin.

For the previous bot I'd take one of the bars away, and use that weight to upgrade the drive and weaponry on the remaining blade. Also, it looks like the blades intersect the weapon motors, so try and figure out a way of fixing that.

It's depressing that I probably spent more time on J.I.M than any other bot I've made due to skinning it and then making those gifs that the GTM image host then butchered. Anyway:

Sorted it all out, looks worse IMO but works so much better.

What looks worse to you in particular? To me it looks cleaner and overall nicer. If it's the wheels sticking out that's the issue, then you can either give it a skin with nice wheel slots or re-shuffle the drive around to see if you can get the wheels to fit inside.

It just looks clunkier to me and I liked the idea of a double spinner :P doesn't matter anyway since the new version works a lot better. The wheels are a problem since they're exposed and shifting the motors will make the spinner clip through it.

MW

Obviously constructive criticism is appreciated but the main aim in the end was just style.
