Not sure where to take this showcase; Improve on the stuff I'm not horrific at (Jugglers and Mostly Popups)  or mix it up, try to get better at bots I suck with.

Also, would I get flamed for posting an anti-pony-fad bot?
On second thoughs, only bad can come of that.

Build a VS. It's fairly hard, but buy looking at Craaig's showcase and some bots like Immortal Corrupter or some LW ones like Craaig's Blood Orange.

I'd do the latter, but it depends, if you want to be a builder who specialises in certain types, or kinds of bots, then focus on that, or if you want to broaden your horizons, do that aswell, your choice really.

and why not make an anti pony bot, it could be funny if done well (just look at most of j's bots XD).

I just try to make what pops into my mind. This way I find what I like building and how to build it effectively.

For a while I mainly built jugglers and VS (not touching Popups, hammer, SnS or SS)- now I'll build anything. Nowadays I build more HS than anything else. Variety helps to improve your skills as a builder overall.

Tl;dr - Do both. :P

And Rip-off Copy other peoples bots  :p
But i would try building a MW HS/VS/FS
I would just have a really small chassis for 3/5 ants and mount everything externally.
Look at my showcase if you have to
DSL Showcase
is this bot don't lost all razors in a fight before do a damage thought

Check the exchange too, you can find how designs are constructed occasionally.

Now thats a low blow D:

Your bot just gave me an idea for the setup I needed for a bot I'd had in my mind for ages. :P

I would just have a really small chassis for 3/5 ants and mount everything externally.

Disregard that advice if you want bursts on your bot :P

Here it is! Cheapbot, a Fail SnSnS

2 Dual-Mags from the discs, 6 ants (Nothing else I could spend the weight on)
DMs are mounted on DSL bars, which are mounted on a Halfplate, Which is attached to the bottom of the chassis.

Better than GK since 2009.

SnS should really aim to be invertible. And the LX's don't appear to be significant, I'd change them to normal E-Teks, and mount them parallel to the arms, so 90 degrees from where they are now.

The only way to make this invertible is to change the rotation 90 degrees upward, then I'd need the big bike wheels to make them touch the ground. =/

And I though the farther away the wheels are from the chassis, the faster it spins, therefore the LXes.

I cocked up.

Better?

Seems to spin faster, but loses wheels easily and loses it's weapon motors quickly.

It would be better with Overkills or WBC's.

If you want to make it invertible, just make the chassis smaller. You only need 4 ants here, or 2 if you replaced the comparatively fail Dual Mags with 360 Axle Mounts.

I'd mount the motors to the chassis with a multi extender and switch the weapon motors to perm 132's for their HP and then add more razors.

Does having the disks spin actively with motors do any extra damage over putting them on axle mounts and letting them spin freely? Also, aren't the NPCFasts with techno wheels faster than the Etek drives?

Are the extra bike wheels really necessary.
