It's a beast of a machine that looks like it'd be let down by the ant discs, but I am only guessing they're used for the piercing damage and not another reason
Probably should've done with wedgelets tbh, it would look nicer. The reason I chose ant discs is that they're very damaging for their weight, and durability isn't an issue. I'll probably go change them to wedgelets now actually since the bot is 95% for aesthetics and is useless combat-wise

Update:

Hits more of the pissed off crustacean vibe I was going for

Original version from previous page for easy viewing:

Slightly overweight unfortunately, and not as fast as I would like. Geared betas for trapping rather than hammering, but it could do either I suppose. Front panels are titanium, arms are steel, rest is alu

I like flamethrowers
ember 2.1 TE.png

This bot has been though so many iterations. It started with Ember:
I then improved the bot, including a sloped rear to the chassis to improve stability (Ember TE) then adding a slow mag snapper on top as a srimech. Lots of internal changes later and like 3 hours of refining AI, as well as creating a custom(ish) .py for the bot, and the work paid off. It's also my first bot that uses a custom skinned component that I skinned myself.

I also like the skinning. Nice work on making small wedges actually not look horrific. Custom skinned components always scream 'I actually put effort into this bot' to me, so nice work there.

still a lil' jewy with the eternalflame though  ;)

Decided to fire up RA2 again

Just a boring simple IRL VS to get back into it.

And a small edit to reptilium to make it a CW and a pure drumbot.

Reptillion's drum looks OP, but awesome nonetheless.
I also feel bad for the other bot, who's been completely over-shadowed by Reptillion.

Something slightly less low-effort.

There's a long black batt hiding in the back there, and the VDMA is a medium.

It's actually fairly weak, the weapons it uses (matilda teeth and ant blades) are pretty trash in 2.2, at least in my testing. Looks cool tho.
