Use angle skirts, so you get a wider front.

Being wide is crucial if you want to have any chance against things like Sheck Spinners or SnS.

Will do.

It can sorta move when upside down, but it is not truly invertible, and it cannot self-right. it can move just enough not to be counted out.

Metal hinge with DSL bar and small wedge.
that is the way to go for a good wedge.

6 ants are not enough, burst motors need more than just one ant to work properly like spin motors, IIRC it's atleast 2 ants for a BSG, 5 for a small JX, 7 for a large JX and 21 for the Beta burst.
None the less, JX's aren't that efficient, you're better off using a few BSG's instead
You've also got a fair bit of empty space there, get rid of it by resizing your chassis down and you'll have more space to play with.

Oh, and yeah, don't use 2 CB's, it does nothing except waste weight.

Waiiiit, I used 2 CBs? D'OH, I didn't notice. -_-

I've abandoned WindRazor for now, I'm testing another true popup, with 2 large JXes and 4 NPC fasts. It tales unusually long to load, though.

My replacement for WindRazor, Pop-u-Up.

PuP has 2 large JXes with 6 razors each, 12-15 ants (I'm not too sure, I forgot. I want 15.) And 4 NPCFs with Hypno's. Feel free to constructively critisize!

I needed to fit the large JXes in. ;)

It doesn't make a ton of difference, though?

You only need small JX's, I think. I never use the large ones.

I used 2 small JXes on RazorWind, and that could only do a max of 1000 point hits. This can do 2000+.

It should be able to do 4000+, but isn't because your bot is underpowered.

You have 12 ants, right ? Well this bot needs 16 at least, technically 18.

Just get 4 BSGs. Less bulky and more destructive (as in OTKs). Uses the same number of ants if I remember correctly (2.5 for a BSG, 5 for a JX)

Another thing, all properly build popups should be able to self right.  If it cannot self right, you will need to fix that.

Should I continue with this popup, or try to build a completely new on with your advice? I'll make a start now, but am I abandoning it too soon?

The overall design isn't very good (yay for total lack of tact) so I would build a new one.

Remember Nar, we can use multiple words to create a sentence!

What he means to say is fix it so that the razorz don't intersect the drive motors and the CB.
Other than that though, not too bad.

Although I respect your help and opinion, I never really saw the big deal over being 'unrealistic'. RA2 is hardly a lifelike simulator, is it? Also, the chassis in this game do not have openings for weapons in them, so hardly any bot is totally realistic if you think about it.

Today's rant over, I may change it in the future. Any ideas how to make it more combat efficient?
