Garvin, how dare you. Try and find that story anywhere on the internet before critisizing me of Ctrl+V'ing. Writing is an artform, like building robots. You don't see me saying every single of your bots sucks, so I don't respect the same. If I could rate you down to oblivion, I would. How dare you, you f**king, lying, pathetic, idiotic, yapping, hate-inducing, dumbass little noob. And I don't care if I get banned for swearing back then, because it was worth it if it put your pathetic little noob ass in it's place for even 2 seconds.

Sparkeys gotten a lot better.

Anyway i think you can get rid of a few batteries in them, it's 1 ant per motor with the odd 1 extra (burst motos are different, it's 2-2.5 per bsg which you have).
Swap the irons for razors on the popup also.
Pretty nice bots aswell but you can shrink the chassis' :P

God people, keep that crap to the playground.

Anyway, your bots are quite good, you just need to improve on efficiency a bit more, and then put on some more weaponry on them.
Just remember the old 1 ant = 1 spin motor rule, tighten up your chassis's a bit better, and you should be well on your way.

Yea, it's been too long since i last built a bot properly, i forgot alot of the techniques/stuff.

Still hate Pop-ups and anything under HW though.


I did have a MW pop-up to post but my RA2 cocked up and shut down and i lost the bot.



P.S, Anyone got any tips on building pop-ups/ LW's/MW's ?

Tips on LW's:
check my showcase, it's basically all i build
Remember the hp of each component, some have more than others and are more useful.
Don't overpower your bots too much, every KG is useful.
Small chassis' are good.
Good drive is also good (depends on what type you're building i guess)
Vlad wheels are quite popular...
Use the AP's as best as you can, some even have invisible AP's.
Just look around my Other people's showcases for inspiration/tips.
Probably isn't best advice but it might help people, i dunno :P

And some of the posts got deleted so you might well have less posts.

EDIT : @ty4er, i originally did have razers on the Pop-up but i changed them for a iron spikes so that i could reduce the length of the extenders yet still keep the reach.

Use less powerful motors and put on more weapons.

Definitely improved, it could do with more, and better weaponry however.
Irons are pretty average in DSL, so you're better off going with razors in this case, which will also save weight ofcourse.
You can also get away with using few flipper makers instead of the DSL bar for the wedge to save more weight, this would also allow you to move the shell piece back a bit.
Also, by turning the motors the other way around, you can make the chassis even smaller, letting you have a little more weight to play around with.

Yea, i do admit that it is under-weaponed quite a bit.


I was thinking of changing to razers but i wasn't sure and I honestly didn't think of using flipper pieces for the wedge though so i will try that.


Also about the motors for the wheels, i did originally have them the other way around but the wheels had then been touching the weapon motors and i would only fit Hypno's on which messed with the invert-ability, although im thinking of just making the chassis much thinner and then attaching them externally.
