Switch to plastic armor to get some more weight and make the hammer part longer(alternatively downgrade some of the extenders)?

If the hammer is longer, it will intersect the flipper portion.

Ah, true, unless you make it even longer but then it won't be able to go all the way down. Kinda complicated situation with Clampbots(and I think having it that far back would lead to it not hitting often?)

I feel pretty bad about it since it slows the weapon motor down by so much since it's only a 4 mag

I really should have just reskinned some extenders but the length of the beaters came out perfect. Also I was totally anticipating bots like Boto's and Thyrus' that have a ton of typhoon teeth, so I figured I could maybe counter it with the beaters.
