And I would prefer UHW to be 2500, so you could have SHW multibots.

Why does it matter to you? You have said that you don't even like building heavyweights, let alone a superheavyweight multi-bot.

So I call GHW (5000.1-10000.0)
I must admit, I'm intrigued by this- has anyone ever built one of these and utilised all of the weight necessary?

FYI sage has made a typo with beetleweight in the original post "Beeteweight (BW)".

I also find it disturbing people want heavier weight classes instead of lighter ones like fleaweight.

Light classes are so close to each together already.. I mean 75kg isnt much between BW and LW

also it introduces a tighter minimum to the others..

I never really liked anything above SHW, I find 600kg fun to work with, its not really enough to make a HW design robot but its an extra 200kg to load up a MW design  thus why I tried to / still plan to try to innovate it.

There's still plenty that can be done with lighter weight classes, people just like spamming weapons as we can see by the number of SnSers and 36 HSers. With heavier weight classes people will just build bigger HSers etc. and innovation will suffer.

I've always wanted a light heavyweight class from 400-600kg. I'm thinking about trying to build some FW's to see how flexible that weight class could be.

5000kg is still overkill IMO, though...

shouldnt gigaheavyweight up there ?
How you make Alarm Clock Pizza is:
Step 1: You buy an alarm clock from the store, and then you have to break it and put it in the sauce.
Step 2: Fold the sauce in 5 slices and put it in the dough.
Step 3: Paint the eggs with a pitcher of a clock showing what time you want to wake up and eat pizza for breakfast.
Step 4: Put the eggs in the dough.
Step 5: Make it flat into a round shape and draw the time you want on it.
Step 6: Put some old steel to prevent other peple from stealing it.
Step 7: Make it flat and cut into 60 slices 1 for each minute in 1 our.
Step 8: Put in the oven set the timer to 30048813.2884 seconds and put the temperature on 'Volcano' setting.
Step 9: If you think it is take to long, then get yor alarm clock and set it to now so that it will ring and you can take it out.
Step 10: Take it out uv the uvin wen it is redy and go to bed. In the morning eat pizza and also eat yor hands bi mistake.

but you change UHW now and you need to bin a bunch of robots..

though I think "Giga Heavyweight" defeats the purpose of Ultra Heavyweight.. UHW being intended as an "Open class" or the old school SHW.. to freely go nuts

UHW is not open class. UHW is officially from 1200.1 to 5000.0 kg, as one tournament has been done with UHW's. We're not going to change that.

I'm fine with GHW being simply >5000 kg, because 5000 kg is already hard enough to reach, and besides no serious bot would go over 10000 kg with DSL or stock parts.

I was just putting a weightclass above UHW in NAR AI and limiting it to 10 000 kg for computer limit purposes.

I wasnt born yesterday   Pretty sure the 5K limit was just set to not over push the game's limit and load times.

Anyway kinda getting off point..

Personally I dont see anything wrong with just

Quote
Antweight (AW) = 125 kgs
Beetleweight (BW) = 175 kgs
Lightweight (LW) = 249 kgs
Middleweight (MW) = 399 kgs
Heavyweight (HW) = 800 kgs
SuperHeavyweight (SHW) = 1200 kgs

As the official ones because except a maximum on SHW, they have been around longer then most of the active members on here..

Then do as you please for tournaments, ai packs, etc

Based on the different title in the posts after Sages first post, someone has messed it when editing it looks like.

But I fixed it now, its back to its original thread title

for me it's:

Fleaweight (FW) = 100kgs
Antweight (AW) = 125 kgs
Beetleweight (BW) = 175 kgs
Lightweight (LW) = 249 kgs
Middleweight (MW) = 399 kgs
Cruiserweight (CW) = 600kgs
Heavyweight (HW) = 800 kgs
SuperHeavyweight (SHW) = 1200 kgs

this way you get:

Lightweight classes:                         Heavyweight classes:

Extreme lightweight: FW             Extreme heavyweight: SHW
Lighter Lightweight: AW                Lighter Heavyweight:MW
Light Lightweight: BW                    Light Heavyweight: CW
Normal Lightweight: LW                 Normal Heavyweight:  HW
