Title: The Hunt for the Robot Wars Replicas

Hey Everyone. I'm looking to complete my Robot Wars Replica collection and I was hoping if the community of GTM is willing to help me out to collect all the Replicas of Robot Wars (Series 1-7)

I'm using the Resetti AI Pack for RA2 DSL 2.2 but it obviously doesn't have all of the bots so I want to change that. I don't consider myself a good replica builder so I'm willing to pay 1$ for each bot, as long as they look good enough and I'm willing to accept them.


So yeah, if anyone wants to earn some money by making replicas, be my guest.

I made a checklist a while back of all UK series competitors and planned to go through that list as much as possible. I will see what I have and what I can do.

Excellent! This is something I've been dreaming for a while and it would be so epic to have the entire collection of Robot Wars Replicas for everyone to play with.

that's a tough call considering you didn't build those replicas directly for me, you built them for yourself.

I'm willing to negotiate though if you're serious about this.

Each of  mine that you have is money in the bank for you, since you no longer have to  buy them   My YouTube, which makes me no money, has attracted replica builders to this site, and enabled you to do this project in the first place.  This will be the first paycheck I've ever received for my work.  I think 75 cents per is a reasonable ask - you'll be helping get Quicksand to England if I get chosen for Bugglebots.

I need to think about it. I don't want to go bankrupt over some RA2 replicas that have been laying around for years when there's still a lot of work to do.

Like I said, I'll think about it and I hope we can come up with some kind of solution because you certainly deserve credit.

Considering the fact that when I'm looking at the list, Series 1-5 is going to cost me already 165$, which I'm entirely fine with, but I have my financial limits too. Obviously these donations are optional but I'm pretty sure that majority in here are after the money.

Also if this ever gets finished, I would like to make this pack available for everyone and not just for me.

I'm gonna risk sounding like a d*** in this response but I don't think it's fair he pays for replicas that have been made free for everyone to use. I reckon dozens of people have the replica pack already so if he already has them then it would be unfair if he payed for them reps and everyone else didn't have to.

Gonna back Orc here, bringing money into this can really cloudy up the whole situation. For one wouldn't royalties have to go to the makers of DSL as well since they provided the platform? For two it really can be an ethical issue since everything here is free, it's why I refused your request for a donation back last year on the BB pack. Again entirely my opinion here.

I feel like I have to, if I want this to actually happen. 1$ per bot isn't a huge motivator but it's better than nothing.

Hey, whoever wants to help me can decide do they want money or not. I'm just trying to use 1$ per bot as an motivator.

Then go ahead and suggest a better motivator for people to start building replicas then. I'm not going to build the replicas myself because I don't consider myself skilled enough to build replicas, and I'm occupied with other stuff in the first place.

I stated before that if I ever get all these replicas collected, I'm going to make them into a pack and release for everyone.  I'm paying for this stuff, not you. This isn't a situation where I'd be like "I paid for this so you can't play with it."

I'm getting sick of this crap and I feel like that majority in here is against me no matter what I'm trying get achieved.

As someone who won't pay for RA2 content, I don't think Jonzu is opening some apocalyptic pandora's box because of a pet project.

It's not like the average RA2 players/people would have paid for things like skins, eFFe'd popups or good extender work.

After a 2-year Hiatus I have continued to work on with the list of missing Replicas.


So yeah, if you make replicas and wanna earn some cash, now is your chance. I will keep updating the list whenever I'm done with Series 7.
