Hey,
I've decided to run a "for fun" tournament. It puts every HW from the Atari Exchange into a tourney. (minus killer bots like Drumblebee and stuff to make it fair)
The arena will be the RA2 T2 arena (to give flippers a fair chance). Almost 2600 bots will be competing for the prize of the best noob bot!
Here's how it works:
Bots will be driven by me against increasingly harder Stock AI bots (Big Dog is easiest, EMERGENCY is hardest.) If you lose, you're out. half the remaining bots will survive each round, fastest times advance. After EMERGENCY, I will AI the remaining bots and do a 4-way rumble tourney.
competitors here: http://www.atari.com/exchange/ra/list?filter_class=Heavy+Weight&items=100&order=desc&sort=rating&page=1 (http://www.atari.com/exchange/ra/list?filter_class=Heavy+Weight&items=100&order=desc&sort=rating&page=1)

What about RW3 and NASCAR?
^ this ^

Well My dad rendered my comp useless for the time being (removed the power plug) so everything's on hold ATM. We're currently discussing whether I can have it back soon. If not, then I dunno what's gonna happen...
-
^ I could always be able to continue RW3 if you can`t. Similar to JoeBlo taking over Zog in USA Vs UK.
-
Seriously, how many things have you offered to host now?
-
^I can host alot of things at the same time.

But I am sure that Badnik will finish RW3 when he gets time to. He has still got a year left on that tournament.

Yeaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhnope.
Anyway Badnik I would like to see pictures of the bots :D

Yeah. Because the first person somebody would trust to host a Major League tournament is you. :P

Aww. :frown:
But 2600 bots!?!! You sure you're up for that? Let's say you average 1 minute 30 seconds per match. With 2600 bots that's 3900 minutes of fight time, or 65 hours. And that's just round 1. If the number of bots remaining is halved every round, we can double that figure to 130 hours for the whole tournament. Factor in loading times, importing and exporting bots, keeping track of fight records, and we can conservatively double that figure again (probably more than double but we're being conservative here) to 260 hours.
It's a really cool idea but just be sure you know what you're getting into here...

Meh I'm gonna take it slow
