i love ra2 but it's pretty hard to keep consistent interest going for 15 years. especially since the main meta is one i don't care about and no one posts anymore

ya, i voted "no longer interested" but it's not exactly true. i like to watch tournaments, give advice to players, see dope sh** that other people build etc.

though my actual time spent playing ra2 is at max one hour per month or so. i only ever build and you'll never see me testing builds or such.

also what reier said. IRL may be nice to look at but in the end i was never really interested by it, with some exceptions such as the best IRL builders. DSL-S on life support now, seeing the showcases. it's a bit sad considered I was one of the guys that made DSL-S along with folk like Reier, Urjak, R0B0, Madman, Scrap Daddy/Virus Bomb, 123, Martymidget etc... but things die out in time.

Yeah, peak RA2 for me was back in the DSL 2.1 days even with the whole Flail-pocalypse. There feels like less of a sense of accomplishment winning an IRL tournament than a standard one as half the boys you face are really designed to win.

I feel like a weird generation of RA2. Too late to be one of the "old guard" but no longer recent either.

Bring back competitive building.
Better than GK since 2009.
I think SM is a pretty cool guy, eh builds unicycle-bots and doesn't afraid of anything

This TBH.

In my case, I'm interested in watching RA2 tournaments and may give a "little" advice, but with university and me losing interest within the game overall, I don't play it as much. Partially my lack of interest is also due to the fact when I get a game, I just want to be able to pick it up and play. RA2 isn't really one of those game. Sure, contradict me and say that you can just cobble a bot together in five minutes or more. But it's about what most of the community wants: A good looking bot that fights well. Which when I try, I feel like only getting negative feedback with very little positive notes, making me feel a bit depressed. But that's just me taking in anything negative first before the positives, or me just being a little too hard on myself.

I play RA2 just for fun and experimentation (Sometimes the psyhics engine can be woke sometimes), apparently Iv'e had sucess with other metas rather than IRL (which is pretty suprising to say the least)
For a game thats already 15 years old, I'm suprised a community this dedicated enough to make 3 versions of it, problem with other metas is that there are no more tournaments to reinforce it, which is pretty sad tbh
Don't get me wrong I liked IRL, building stuff that looks like you saw on TV, sometimes I make stuff that doesn't exist yet (hybrids, for example), Its good fun atleast

Thats my life with ra2 in general, I can't believe the youtube's reccomended videos brought me into this goldmine

i have 0 idea how no one discovered hax mode before it was revealed

you don't even need the piston for it to activate, just snapper load a rad long enough and it'll activate on its own

barbie did iirc
two seperate base plate anchors.

each facing opposite ends.

then everythings on extenders.

try to stack or fit as many axles in the chassis.

then axle glitch something, and stacking is easy as pie.

I'm a bit late.

I'm three/four on the list. I haven't played Stock or DSL in a long time and only play the RW mod extremely rarely.
I've got a job, I'm in education and writing a novel. Don't have as much time anymore to spend a day or two building something.
Still like to visit here everyone once in a while mostly cause I miss being on these types of forums all the time.

I've moved to other forums. Under a different name. This is where it all began.
