New useful glitch discovered??
« on: March 25, 2010, 12:28:17 PM »
Was fooling around on ways to fit in another ztek on a dead weight bot, when I thought I accidentally removed my ztek..but isntead, the baseplate anchor holding it disappeared.

I rebuilt the bot with just 2 hp zteks and 1 lp ztek, and it was 4 kgs short of this one, so the baseplate anchor still counts on the weight, but I can place anything around the Ztek, which means it's not blocking the way. It's not there, but not completely gone either. I could think of some nice usage though.

A picture of it:

I'm trying to figure out how I did it right now. If I manage to, I'll upload a video on how to do it, and call this glitch the Invisible Anchor Functioning Perfectly.

I'll keep you all in touch with any progress.

EDIT: VID IS UP

Are you able to attach things to the Z Tek or the Invisible Anchor?

If no, this will be useless with the exeption you can add spikes to it and they will do damage.

This is the first awesome glitch since the eFFe Glitch!

I find snapper loading much cooler than the eFFe glitch, and combined, SnaperEffe glitch, is awesome.

This look really useful! See if you can do it again.
You got my vote for RA2 Wizard. Always and forever.

The anchor is not locatable, I can just put stuff around the Ztek where the anchor used to be, and yes, the axle of the HP Ztek is fully functional.

Further news on the IAFP: I managed to do it one more time, so I did make some progress, but I still don't know exactly how I did it. One thing is for sure: it's going to be quite complicated.

As fast as I can consistently do it, I will post instructions (which is probably going to be an instruction video, due to complicatedness, which is gonna take a while (you guys know I'm lazy))
Calm down folks. I'm never REALLY gone.

Hmm, so you will have to attach your stuff on the Ztek before doing the glitch then? Sounds doable, this will definetly effect Stock building quite alot, especially LWs.

Nope. It works fine after the glitch as well. Not that it makes that much of a difference, though.

>>Breakthrough<<
I can now consistently perform this glitch, but it's 11 PM here now and work doesn't stop moving because I discovered a glitch, I'm gonna need some sleep.
I'll probably come up with an instruction vid for the Invisible Anchor Functioning Perfectly (IAFP(get used to that name!)) tomorrow, check back!

I think that "Rolo glitch" is a much better bet.

This will completely change how LW's especially are built. I tried to figure how it may be possible myself, but I am absolutely stumped as to how to do it outside of BFEing. Can't wait for the tutorial.

Now that I think about it, that is a possibility too S32.... Hmmm... I do know how to attach things to baseplate with attachment points that dont attach to baseplate normally, but I dont know about functionality as I never tried it that far. Based on this I predict a high possibility of a rickroll soon.

A very valid point. I am significantly less enthused now, yet still slightly hopeful.
