Title: Naryar's Hybrid Generator

Want to build some hybrids and don't have inspiration ? No worries !

First choose the number of bot types you want in your hybrid. 2,3,4 or more. (You should be able to choose that)

Then it's time to choose the hybrid types.

Roll 3d6 (Three six-sided dice), add the result and see in this table:

3-Anything not included in this list
4-Shell spinner
5-Popup
6-SnS
7-Poker
8-FS
9-VS (any type)
10-Rammer
11-HS (any type)
12-Wammer
13-Flipper or Weaponed Flipper
14-Hammer
15-Sawbot
16-Juggler
17-Drum
18-Anything not included in this list.

There. If you get twice the same result, reroll (unless it is 1 or 18). Reroll it for each bot type that your hybrid has.

Note : If you get a result that doesn't make any sense : think about how it could work, and do it. Hell, I just had a mostly workable idea for a FS/Rammer/Flying Guillotine, so you should be able to find what you seek.

Feel free to move stuff around since this is a 3d6 distribution and if you are sick of HS/Rammer/VS hybrids. Or make a d18 virtual dice.

I feel as though it would be somewhat easier to list attack methods and directions rather than bot types.

Attack directions - Example types:

upwards - VS
forwards - Rammers/pokers
side (Both) - most HS/Side hammers/trapper pokers
side (left) - Single HS
side (right) - Single HS
top - Any gutripper
bottom - Flying Guillotine
down - Hammer
back - most rumble built bots
all over - Crawlers


From there you can specify how to attack.

You could arguably do that, though why would someone hybrid a crawler with anything else (maybe crawler/top spinner) and no one but n00bs builds bots that attack from the back anyways. Well, if you don't count SnS.

Side left and right could be put into the same category.

And a whole category for bottom bots is somewhat a lot, i mean no one builds them. It could help for originality but apart from downwards pokers/FG there's not much.

Crawlers can have controlled movement, look at my latest two bots.

I swear I made a program like this in VB years ago. I wonder if anyone still has it knocking around.

Edit: Found it! (https://gametechmods.com/uploads/files/RA2ndomsier%20v2.02.rar), thank god NFX didn't change his sig. It doesn't support hybrids though I guess, I was probably too lazy to put that in.

The RA2 Randomiser? It's kinda the same thing, except for hybrid weapon systems and it's slightly longer because you need to find some dice, then roll it enough times instead of pressing a single button.


This isn't too bad though. I actually think can be hilarious if you can make something that looks like an abomination from this system.

not really... just find some online dice and there, you can even roll 3 sets of 3d6 in a row easily.

In case of no internet, well... Use your calculator ? 6xRAND+6xRAND+6xRAND.

also about that randomiser I do not like it.

I think it is not very useful to randomize weightclass and mod (you can choose that easily), also because odd wheels are just fail in general.

Not to mention that the choice of wedges is directly linked to whatever bot type you choose and should not be randomized, and all good concussion weapons in Stock do piercing damage as well.

So, the choices of what should be randomized in this thing are too arbitrary IMO. No offense meant.

actually I like more the simple mode.

Yeah, I didn't put much though into it. Maybe doing a small tournament using your system to allocate bot types would be cool, if anyone around here still builds or does tournaments.
