There`s one cool glitch in stock version.

Haven`t tried wid dsl.
If u connect 4servo pistons to a disc in turn to a Z-tek(hp) n extend the servos they all shoot up like rocket launhers n after sometime the motor fails.

In drum of death arena sometimes after getting bashed by the giant fan sometimes you get stuck in the wall

you can stack 2/3 components, and some even more, into the same place if you move them around carefully.Small components are easier to stack.

As for the servo piston glitch, its a variant of The Project Trinity Glitch. If a piston is beng moved fast enough, when you fire the piston, the axle flies off.

As for the Wall glitch, its because that fan is spinning at just Crazy RPMs. and the fan blades are heavy, so they got lots of Kinetic Energy. More KE:more dificulty in it being stopped by something. The Havok physics engine moves only your bot, and maybe before the next frame, move the bots components. this can make a bot stuck as well as a Huge aumont of power from a moveable component against the wall.

I have found what i call the Skirt Hinge armor. Weight Less than Casters, Offers some nearly invincible armor, and can Havok Explode your bot far from the other on a Big Hit.

on the opposite side where you place the skirts, there is a invinsible wall. place it at a angle, showing that extender exposed, on the outside of the chassis. You can use less for more Havok Explosions/weight savings, and more for more strength.

I have found other glitch, if you twist servos too much without moving them, They create a Havok Explosion.
I tried that off on a Trampoline-style Flipper Design. Skirt Hinges do work too, since they are Just PITIFULLY weak servos.

Check The RA2 forums Stock showcase, and See the Heavily Glitched Robots they build.

Also, some components collide differently than how they look like. this is why Spike Strips cant get Bots Stuck. But this is good on the other hand. Did you seen the BattleBots arena? it has EVERY SINGLE SPIKE shaped independently, while the Compressor Arena Spikes are just triangles. this is why it lags, as well as the walls, Every Single Lexan Glass is shaped independently, this is why it has not lexan panels all over the arena, Since they would lag even more. This means, Time for A Complete Rebuild of it.

Yes the main problem is having a separate collision mesh than the mesh of the component itself which allows some invisible collisions and some components actually pass through other components.

As far as the Havok physics engine is concerned it is not the best and is sometimes very inaccurate.(Sorry Havok team)

But, the components were managed very well in stock version, the only problem being they were too limited

No, the Havok Engine was in a early stage when RA2 was born.
Havok is WAY better, nearly no glitches.

I agree that the havok engine was comparatively one of the best when RA2 was launched but it has been 5 years since then and the standards now have been raised with many big games into the picture.

There are many glitches associated with it. Sometimes when bots are moving they fly off just like that without any stuck components/invisible walls/smart zones.

And the STOCK ripblade is too a very glitchy bot. Some bots just fly off to nowhere if they are hit regularly with its blades. Once in COMBAT ZONE it flew outside the arena and was nowhere to be seen and the match ended in time-out, not even by immobility.

O.0
too bad you didn't got the pic.
its too glitchy because it has many external motors. 2 useless axle mounts and a Z-tek.
BTW, Tornado and Mud Runner Are Heavyweights while they say its middleweight.

Acrobat Reader for instance uses Havok.
no explosions/glitches at all.

Hello guys (may sound childish but I'm new here)

I just wondered about a glitch: Do the very useful double strength aluminium glitch works too in DSL? And is it a good idea to use it?

Btw, speaking of glitches, yesterday I fought Ripblade two times with a VS, completely ripping off all his external compoments... No havoc explosion at all. )

Thanks. (sorry for my English)

when something with a moveable part is taken off, on the place this happens a "mine" is formated. when someone passes through this mine then a havok explosion happens. you probably avoided the mines.
The DSA glitch does work in DSL, but all armor is multiplied by 6 times. but the DSA armor numbers are unchangeable so its WAY weaker than other armors. EMERGENCY had DS steel. this is why its soooo strong.

Alright, thanks. I did'nt know that DSA wasn't multiplied by 6.

Well I just figured it out, made a DSL remake of my first stock hammer with DSA armor, quite efficient against all stock bots, but i just took the same chassis to begin with...

Got owned  by simple bots like Eye Stabber... and Deadbeat KO'ed me in three or four hits. A few victories but usually done by driving skill and damage (quite good)...

Beat the Judge too, and the best part is when I destroyed him, two seconds after he flew to the ceiling, and quite fast.

I guess sometimes Havok explosions just happen randomly, on a simple collision.

Can somebody try this and tell is it works?

Invisible extenders:
--------------------
Create a bot that has full dimensions(maximum height, width, and length), and
have some extenders in it sticking out of the chassis. Then, go to the decal
selection in the paint shop. Put a radiation decal in the center on top. Put
one in each area in between two of the bars that stick out from the center.
Do that again. When you enter an event, the extenders will be invisible.

Found a new glitch when I was trying to make a bot today.
Parts needed:
-motherboard
-servo (only tested the weak one)
-tribar
-weapons

Put the motherboard and the servo in the chassis, add the tribar on the servo angled down, add weapons of choice and vire the servo. Now use the servo to turn the tribar exactly 180 degrees, and it will start to spinn out of controll. Almost like the trinity glitch. To stop it just turn the tribar a bit more. For som real spinning action add pistons on the tribar for a trinity effect on top of the other glich. No need for battery.

Should be used with a large chassis so the weapons spinn, not the chassis.

Only tested in Stock, but didn't feel like making a new thread.

I think that's just a common servo glitch. It happens when you turn a full Z-tek weapon system too.
