So I've been on RA2 DSL2 for only a short while now. Fighting exhibition matches using mine (https://gametechmods.com/forums/index.php?topic=18083.msg686450#msg686450) vs AI bots like Firestorm, Techno Destructo and Overkill... They're surprising fragile.
I've most definitely had a harder time bringing down the game robots like Cranky Spanky, whose chassis armor seems tougher to cut through.
Is that to say the game robots aren't exactly true to life like the replicas? What's going on? :baffled:

Since they're replicas, they're not exactly built for RA2-type combat (with its lovely nonsense physics and whatnot). Meanwhile, the other bots are built for RA2 combat, so they're going to be tougher.
-
Most of those bots are over ten years old. In today's standards, they might as well be made from tissue paper.
-
IIRC all those replicas were made over 10 years ago by DarkRat just for show. Then the idea of DSL TC came along and he had people fill in the innards of the bots.
Another major thing to note is that DSL was never balanced well at all.

If you wish for balanced gameplay, I would recommend Ironforge. No true metagames have been installed just yet, TO MY KNOWLEDGE. DSL has a vicious metagame that means 80 percent of the components are completely arse.
