I remember seeing that on youtube forever ago! Do you remember who built who?

Project Tabletop? Scrap Daddy actually built that he left a comment on it's videos (match 4 and losers battle royal).

Anyone have the RAR or Zip file for Madbia's old bot A.T.O.M?
The link to the download dissapeared when the wizfourms went down.
And that bot was truly a masterpiece.
Let me tell you something I learned through life... The weakest link in the chain isn't always the failure point.

How you make Alarm Clock Pizza is:
Step 1: You buy an alarm clock from the store, and then you have to break it and put it in the sauce.
Step 2: Fold the sauce in 5 slices and put it in the dough.
Step 3: Paint the eggs with a pitcher of a clock showing what time you want to wake up and eat pizza for breakfast.
Step 4: Put the eggs in the dough.
Step 5: Make it flat into a round shape and draw the time you want on it.
Step 6: Put some old steel to prevent other peple from stealing it.
Step 7: Make it flat and cut into 60 slices 1 for each minute in 1 our.
Step 8: Put in the oven set the timer to 30048813.2884 seconds and put the temperature on 'Volcano' setting.
Step 9: If you think it is take to long, then get yor alarm clock and set it to now so that it will ring and you can take it out.
Step 10: Take it out uv the uvin wen it is redy and go to bed. In the morning eat pizza and also eat yor hands bi mistake.

stop trying to be overly dramatic for gods sake, it was a website not a freaking ghost town in the nevada desert

Actually now that Team 9 mentions it, that is a very accurate description of what browsing the old forum archives is like.

You can see the general structure and some of the more popular threads, even a few rare artifacts (pictures), but most of the details are obliterated.  Most of the people on those old forums are no longer around, too, which makes it feel even more like a ghost town.

This exactly. Even browsing old GTM threads makes me long for the days 4 years ago.

I think I joined 3 or 4 years ago and I recall guys like Whammitnutt, Icethefrostycat and others. Heck look in both my DSL (First few pages) and Stock showcases (First page only), you can see some posts by some veterans who aren't here anymore. Still it's a d**n shame the Wayback Machine didn't chronicle the entire wizfourms.

Wham, Ice, Condor33, MetalikVyper, venko

oh the memories
I built that big robot on that TV show that time

OK guys, I said I would do it, and there seemed to be considerable interest, so here it is:

Download ALL the bots!

^ That's my entire stock Robot Designs folder, minus any bots that weren't built by me or FB and any bots with custom parts.  The bots date back to 2003 when we first got the game, up to now.  At least half of them were never showcased so there's plenty of old content to poke through.

The .bot files all conveniently start with "CB_" or "FB_" depending on who built it, so they don't get mixed up with your own bots.  Except for Lots OOOOOOOO wheels which was built by FB's friend.

...Looking back, I kinda miss building bots like Evil Weevil V and Gigawhirl II and Double Edge.  I had kind of an IRL style before I found the forums.

You did for a spell afterwards too. I have a quote of you in your showcase saying you preferred to keep your bots realistic, which is why you didnt build HS

...Huh, I could swear I didn't build HS because there was no way to make them original.  Maybe it was both.

I have a lot of HS now, though.

I remember seeing that on youtube forever ago! Do you remember who built who?

I made Jade Falcon. Which was terrible in the tournament... but had the most ingenious self righting mechanism.  (which was useless because the matches lasted like 10 seconds tops)

Some of Vertigo's old works

(Image removed from quote.)

and more of Kill343's first bots. :D

(Image removed from quote.)

Anybody that doesn't appreciate Vert002's old works has no concept of RA2 history.

And I just remember that I was such a genius at naming that that bot right there was named 'The Claw'. True story. Oh, and those wheels on top were powered by redbirds so it could drive upside down. INNOVATION

I'd love to see more multiplayer tournaments these days...even with the immense lag it's still really fun (especially with hamachi, which seems to help the lag out some.)

EDIT: and organised builder teams.
