My bot from the same challenge. Not a 100% accurate rep as the rules of the challenge did give some leeway, and there was also a 1 hour building limit. Pretty proud I managed to crank this out in that hour as my previous attempts to build extenderbots under time pressure didn't go well.

If I wanted to make this rep 100% accurate I could just swap the eyes and mouth made of extenders for ones skinned onto the panels, revise the front setup a bit and I'd be golden.

Made Shredder. Happy with how I BFE'd the red discs into the blue and especially how I BFE'd the chassis shape.

(Image removed from quote.)

Oh, also I made Apollo but haven't skinned it yet.

(Image removed from quote.)

And same situation with Firestorm, not skinned and the flipper glitches through the floor so will replace that at some point. Edit: changed the flipper to an armour panel.

Asking for or even suggesting replicas is frowned upon here.

Just thought I'd let you know, since you're new. ;)

tried to replicate Doctor Fist as my first replica.

not very proud of the result, also i'm a newbie. so it was kind of normal that it came out like this.

i tried to use the OBJ to RA2 tutorial, but the chassis i tried to make didn't worked (only showed a piece when i converted it from Maya, didn't showed it when i made it in Blender), so i decided to use normal chassis in RA2.

also, it came out very sh**ty in terms of functioning, too fast, too unstable and stuff like that.
any suggestions about how to tweak it?
ps= the armor is titanium 1 (DSL mod)

For your 1st post, it's pretty good!
In speed, NPC's are known for being quite fast, so try to use other motors like TMW3R's.
in unstable-ness, can you describe how?
I shouldn't have come here

Welcome to the forums my dude.

Pretty decent first rep. The piglet is a pretty terrible weapon motor but to be honest that's probably about accurate for a Doctor Fisr rep since it's weapon was also terrible.

As for the speed, KidDelta's advice is sound. You can drop the drive to TWMR Drive motors and that should drop the speed to a more accurate level.

Don't worry about not getting OBJ2RA2 right away BTW. I've been on the forum nearly 3 years and I still have no clue how to use it

well, if by NPC you mean as a Non Playable Character, well.. i'm making it as a playable robot (don't know how to do AI)
now i understood! for NPC you meant the engine! i forgot the name of it before :P
also, as unstable-ness, i mean like, revolting around in a very spastic way everytime he gets hit, like it's some kind of very light weight robot.

also, here's a video showing how much spastic "Doctor Fist" behaves.

i think it's a problem with weight and also the fact that he has only two big exposed wheels.
not that the original bot was better anyway, he got shot out at the first round.

ok, i've changed the NPC engines of Doctor Fist with TW3R engines.
more stable but still he flies around everytime he gets hit. but that's a problem of height i suppose.

anyway, now i'm making another one, a more simple one.
guess who?

That is mastiff, from the 2nd world championships, and I think a reskinned flipper panel could make it look more accurate to the real thing

that's what i'm planning to do, also i need to lengthen it, and for that i should use GMF compiler/decompiler, right?

Impressive work on the paintjob!

thanks!
i still need to tweak the flipper's texture position and width.
after that i will try to do "crazy coupe 88". at first i was planning to do Shapeshifter 2nd version, but i decided to try something more simple for now.
https://robotwars.fandom.com/wiki/Crazy_Coupe_88
the hard thing would be those trapezed parts since i need to edit them in notepad/GMF compiler, but that's shouldn't be hard.

started making Crazy Coupe 88.
for now i'm still using rectangular armor plates (also BFE for motor placing as you can see) and there's still proper texturing to do.

also, almost finished Mastiff, i still need to make some tweaks and it should be finished

Crazy Coup 88 can still use some work, but Mastiff looks great!
