I see, well, I guess I' need to re-examine each one.  I'll post a new file when I'm done.

Another technical question;
If I do release it as an AI pack, what files do I need to include besides the bots themselves?
You need to edit the python file called "Bindings". Each bot is designated a single line in that file. This line dictates certain unique parameters for each specific bot.

Starcore has a nice small Tutorial on the wiki.

But here a shorter guide (unless you need SC's):
(Always make a back-up of files to be modded)
After building and wiring your AI bot in accord with the tactical 'kind' of AI.py you're using (Spinner, Flipper, Rammer,...), and then placing the bot in an AI team folder(as Bot0 thru Bot5):

Then edit the 'Bindings'.py file. In short :
(1) Open the Bindings.py (Notepad++ (no word wrap enabled), or better yet just install the right application: python-2.5.2 (small:10mb).
(2)Find the Bindings lines of a bot that is the same 'kind' of bot as your new AI bot (Spinner, Flipper, Rammer,...), .
(3)Copy and paste this line somewhere else (keeping the initial indent spacing the same). Make your own section of lines for your AI-ed bots.
(4)Then paste the name of your bot in place of the original bot. Save.

That's it.

Note: If you cannot find how to 'wire' your kind of bot, the find an AI bot of that 'kind', copy it into your 'Robot Designs' folder, then 'Import' and open it up in the bot lab. Then just copy the wiring and commands therein.
Input is appreciated. :)

Is there a way to edit the "kind" of bot?  I was hoping to put something besides a wedge in Ronin's spot.

It doesn't have to be the same kind of bot, you can change where it says 'Rammer' or whatever to your type of bot. Make sure that you put a type of bot that the game will recognize though, like any of the bots on the original bindings list.

Well, I don't know if I'm up for AI'ing, every time I get a about 1/16th of the way through, the game rejects my bindings and stops working, so I'm thinking I'll leave that part up to someone who has prior experience in Python.

A non-AI pack is feasible, though.  It seems as though my first attempt had several bots that made people's computers crash, so I will need to re-examine each bot.  I think the problem is that I absentmindedly stick in custom components to stock bots; if I want to test a bot in a hurry, I'll slap on a Lu-Tze battery and forget to remove it later.

Still, if anyone's up to programming the AI, I would be very appreciative.

45 is the magic number for AI teams, 90 if you're really ambitious.  I have about 35 stock replicas at the moment, what do people think, should I release a pack once I have 45, or 90?

Is it ok if nearly half of my bot are invertible or self-righting?  I didn't intend it that way, but that's what it looks like we might end up with.

Griffon.   I'm just going to come right out and say it, this is Biohazard in a Union Jack.  It's got a lifting arm that's capable of flipping over lightweights.  It doesn't do the cool 4-bar actuated thing that the real life counterpart does with his arm, but it's still pretty cool/

Mr. Nasty, a square robot with a spike, or "Pure evil in a box," as its logo says.  Keeping faithful to the original design, this is a rammer, not a popup as I first believed. The nose is the only custom component so if I decide to release this one with the pack, it'll be removed (It's just for decoration anyway.)

Don't! Just add the custom component to the pack as well.

It's not a custom component I made, it's the drum from the DSL pack.  I'll include the bot as is if you want it, but which files do I need to put in the pack to make the drum compatible?

You will need the folder and txt file called lt_hdrum in Components, and the lt_hdrum txt files in styles.

As long as you're borrowing components from DSL, you might as well put Lightning spikes on the side of Mr. Nasty instead of trying to paint them on.  The Lightning spikes would be the perfect shape.  Then that replica will look really nice (it's already quite good).

Thanks.  The problem with Lightning spikes is that there's no room on the side for baseplate extenders.  The Z-teks used for the wheels are pressed up against each other as is, and if I stretch the chassis any wider, its shape won't look right.

Also, if I include non-stock components, will I need to include a modified cfz file?

You only need to include a cfz if you want the txt files to be compressed and uneditable (at least for everyone who doesn't know how to decompile cfz's).

You can use the axle loading glitch to put baseplate anchors inside the wheels.

Here's some more replicas:

Bumblebot, a robot with a hammer on a beltdrive motor.  Keeping faithful to its real life counterpart, the hammer is rather slow and heavy.  If anyone wants a project, I could really use a The Master-type wheel, because I think this wheel skin would look better on a convex wheel hub.

Imortalis, a very weird design.  It's got a plow in front and two jabbing spikes in back.  Other weird features include a barrel shaped body with spikes and a firefly tail at the back.
