On T-wrex, the decal is upside down.

Otherwise, very good.

Yeah, I noticed that last night when I posted. I was hoping no one would notice :P

Wow, those look great, both of you. You are getting even better at this in my opinion... good job. :)

Onslaught, a little robot based on an R/C car.  It's got a plough flipper, and a second flipper for self-righting.  At the back are some spikes so I can win on points if necessary.  I really like the skull and crossbones at the front.

Victor, a robot with a red lawnmower blade.  You'll observe that the team had an unnatural obsession with the V shape, from the wheels, the struts that hold the motor, and the shape of the chassis.  Veni vidi... construxi!

On another note, what do people think of me doing a replica of the month contest that was mentioned the BOTM thread?  As I said before, I know of some really challenging ones for people to try.

Onslaught was one of my favorite bots, and it was always so cool when it got its butt kicked, because every year it came back almost exactly the same.
I built that big robot on that TV show that time

I always loved Onslaught. One of my all-time favourites. You should release them in a pack one day.

Both of those looks great, good job on Onslaught. I agree with R0B0, you should release them in a pack at some point. For the replica of the month thing, I think it would be an cool contest, and it would be interesting to see what everyone creates since everyone will be making a robot based off the same bot.

Thanks everyone, love to hear that you like my replicas

I would start working on an AI pack, except I don't know how to program AI.  I do seem to recall seeing a good tutorial somewhere, but I can't remember where.  If anyone here knows where I could find said instructions, I'd certainly give AI'ing a try.

As for the replica of the month thing:
Do I need a moderator's approval, or can I just start the thread in the Tournaments section?

https://gametechmods.com/?do=Guide_to_AIing Thats the gametechmods tutorial, I'm not sure where to find another one. I'm sure that you could ask anybody here who knows how to AI as well. Anyways, I'm not sure if R0B0 meant an AI pack or not, but either a regular bot pack or an AI pack would be good for me. :)

I just meant a .rar of all of them, but an AI pack would be cool.

Thanks for the link, that was just what I needed.  So, I've finished AI'ing the first eight, and it looks like my Replica AI pack might become a reality.

Another technical question:
If I do release it as an AI pack, what files do I need to include besides the bots themselves?

Well, you need to add An edited version of INIT? I pray you know python.
Put this onto your signature if you were part of this crappy fad in '03.

You should probably ask ACAMS first before you start a tourney. Didn't he specifically mention that in a thread of his.

Well, I'm running into a lot of crashes while doing the AI, so I might have more trouble doing it than I initially thought.  Still, I can provide you with a pack of all 35 of the stock robots I've made.  Anyone who's considering making a replica AI pack should check it out.

Sorry about that, I forgot to take out a custom component.  Here's the new file, which shouldn't cause you any more trouble
