Cheers

Here's something else. Unfortunately it's too complicated to be used against real fighting robots but it can be fun to use

The idea was to create something that would keep on punching the opponent relentlessly but it requires a lot of concentration to get it right so it kind of failed as bot suited for battle.

From a 10 minute gameplay, I made a compilation of the best parts.

That's a really cool design :) , shame it's hard to use.
Surely a custom AI could be made for it? I can't remember what it was called (Topknot maybe?) but wasn't there a robot in DSL 2.1 that used a similar concept but as a full body spinner?
Maybe someone more experienced with AI can tell me.
Download Mortis.py
Download some of my DSL2.2 Bots

I found this
https://gametechmods.com/forums/index.php?topic=1103.msg24825#msg24825

I have 0 experience on AIing so I don't know but it sure would be interesting to see AI bots controlling this thing perfectly. It would be a vicious AI.

A... Gatling hammer ? :O

that is the coolest hammer design i have ever seen.

I think if you can attach smartzones via BFE to the disc the smartzones should be able to rotate and OmniMultiZone should work.

Though I'm pretty sure you will need another smartzone because OmniMultizone supports 4, iirc.

and i'm pretty sure topknot.py does not support a spinner weapon.

That is sweet. Please figure out how to AI it; it would be too evil.

I never thought of something like that, that's just too cool!

I have 0 experience on AIing so I don't know but it sure would be interesting to see AI bots controlling this thing perfectly. It would be a vicious AI.
When MassimoV released his tournament pack with the competitors from Battlebots 6-8, it had bots that used the "OmniMultiZone" (I believe that's what it's called.) and that AI uses multiple smartzones when ever One bot I do recognize from that that uses it is Super Komodo, It had 3 different named smartzones named "weapon", "Fire1" and "Fire2." I think that might work, but then again, it most likely won't, so don't quote me on that. If you really want someone to try to AI it, send it over.

Edit: Damn you Naryar! you ninja!

Thank you all

If anyone's interested to try AIing this bot I can send the bot file. The only non-Ironforge components in it are the DSL3 pneumatic burst motors.

Edit: Oh, the extenders of the hammers are probably not from Ironforge either but that's easily fixed.

If you really want someone to try to AI it, send it over.

I don't "really want someone to AI it".  I'm just slightly curious. I just build stuff XD.
If you want the bot file, I'll need to make some minor adjustments first and give you the missing components for your RA2 Ironforge

I think I would be able to AI it but I'm not quite sure about BFE'ing the smartzones. Maybe I can aam them or something.

Well here you go if you or anyone else want to try AIing or just have fun with it.

https://www.mediafire.com/?091pqeo2xyen4tl

Ironforge 1.0 required. Non-Ironforge components included, just drag and drop the 3 folders on the RA2 main. No files should conflict.

Controls for the hammers are a bit retarded so you might want to change them, lol.

Behold, the son of the most well known tank of WW2

Real tank for comparison:

A lot of hidden hinges in there.
100 times more detailed than the Tiger I. This comes at a cost though: It's undrivable. The only thing that actually moves is the turret so the only thing this can do is... well... be showcased.
The only essential thing that's missing are the side skirts over the tracks. two things that bother me are a rather short looking turret and the fact that was placed too far forward. Rule of 7 prevents me from stretching it and I only noticed the incorrect placement too late and I was too lazy to rebuild the turret.

For anyone interested, I started building this at around 7:40 pm. I finished around 2:00 am minus 1 hour for dinner  :dead:
