Title: If you can skin this, I'll let you pick my next coardboard replica
Post by: Resetti's Replicas on July 09, 2011, 09:47:16 PM: Like the title says, I've got the body all assembled for my Hydra replica, but I realize upon inspection that the skin is beyond what I can do with my skills. So, I'm offering a trade; do this skin justice (More that what I can do which is drawing it in Paint) and I'll let you pick my next replica.

Anything from Robot Wars is fair game, even the ones they made pullbacks out of. I'll let you pick any scale you want, although curvy and domed shapes like Blendo or Destruct A Bubble will be difficult, and will look like <bleep> but if you want it I will make it.

BTW The fork-thingies are going to be made from components so they aren't part of the chassis skin

Well, it's more to get certain things right.

And Sonny? I like to use my own special mixture of Paint, RA2's paintshop, TLC, and extreme violence.

@GF, The thing about the BB version is that I'm not sure about the exact shapes of the special armour plates based on that one glare-y photo, and I know there are some at the back that I'm missing. However, I can do the Series 4 version no problems at all.

Also, I made a version with your signature on the bottom panel so that if Hydra gets flipped (its first match is against Tsunami so there's quite a possibility), everyone will see who made the skin.

@Prey, Is the Series 5/Nickelodeon version ok? It was about 20% more badass than the subsequent versions (I didn't like the flattened chassis and the un-sleek flipper). I'm probably going to do GF's first I hope that's ok too.
