Don't be dumb. It's Bot Of The Month, not Splash Of The Month.

Voted #1 because the skin blends really nicely and creates a real tank-like feel to it. Overall quite clean.

#1: Who gives a damn if apocalypse is misspelled? It's freaking awesome. I'm thinking Maz might have built this.
#2: The splash hurt my eyes making it hard for me to read the text. Nevertheless, it's still a good looking bot, but not the best.
#3: Looks good, but It looks a bit too simple. Maybe ~~Shrek~~ Mr. AS built this one?
#4: "Hybrids, oui oui." Well, it's not amazing, but I can see Thrackerzod building this one.
#5: Damn, this one looks amazing. I thought it was unreal to make something this good. No idea who built it, but I'm giving my vote to this one.

But the splash definitely plays a part. You want the front page of GTM to look good, right?

#1 - I'm liking this one a lot due to the skin work and the overall look but the splash is a bit off-putting to me because I feel he could have used the magic wand/rubber tool a bit better and should have spell checked his splash before finalising it. Like I said, I know it's 'Bot' of the Month but that doesn't mean the deciding factor between two good bots can't be the splash.
#2 - 'Recommended' but you can't even see the words that well, anyway. Kind of an eye-hurting splash. The bot looks good but not the most intricate/impressive design here.
#3 - Not much to say. The splash looks nice, albeit the robot shots are a tad small, imo. I think having one larger shot would look better. The bot doesn't look too outstanding to be bot of the month, though.
#4 - I don't know what to say. Not because it's bad, because I can't really pick fault with it but, like RedAce said, it's not amazing.
#5 - The other contending bot here. I think the ratio of work put into the robot to work put into splash was 40/60 with this whilst it was 60/40 with the first one. This one is good because the splash is brilliant, imo. I can see the work put into to the splash and the robot, they look really nice.

It's between 1 and 5 for me, like most people. Like Craaig, I need more time to think about it.

No, it just doesn't have any ballasts, from the looks.

Anyway, some really good entries here!

1. Super cool bot. Good splash too, though I feel like the upper right corner could have been done in a way that works better with the background /nitpick. I think RedAce made it.
2. I can't read this one. Bot looks... something. I think RedAce made it.
3. Neat bot, though the pictures are a bit small. Also, for some reason, I keep getting confused as to what's part of the background texture and what's part of the robot. I think RedAce made it.
4. Solid entry, nothing incredible. The blue text is kinda hard to read. I think RedAce made it.
5. Cool bot with a really nice splash. I like the spotlight effect, and I think the internal shot meshes a lot better with the rest of the splash than the internal shot in 1. I think RedAce made it.

5 gets my vote.
